My wife and I enjoyed the trans-Canada rail vacation through Canada Rail vacations. The train experience itself was outstanding but what made the trip “one of a Lifetime” were the private tours that CR arranged for us with the best guides ever! We first met Kat on tour 1 of 3 that she led for us exploring Banff, Lake Louise and surrounding areas, and we have never met anyone who had so many common interests and a wonderful upbeat personality that instantly connected with us and quickly became a good friend of ours in a very short amount of time. She is interesting, funny, adventurous, good photographer and a wonderful guide and someone who seemed like a long lost friend and we just met her at a reunion! She was a highlight of our trip! Best guide ever, and Kat showed us many wonderful sights in one of the most beautiful areas in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Can’t say enough great things for our guide and new friend Kat! We hope to cross paths again in the future! Highly, highly recommend Kat and the tours they offer! 10+ Kats out of 10!!

We had such great tours! Full of information and beautiful views. One of our guides, Duncan went absolutely above and beyond!! He made sure my 89-year-old grandmother could participate as much as possible. He offered waters, phone chargers and to take as many photos as we wanted. Not only did he look out for us but he made sure everyone was thought of and happy. I’ve learned so much I can’t keep it all straight!

We had a lovely time during our stay in Canmore/Banff. We took two tours with Alberta Blue Sky with our guide Kat. She was very knowledgeable and had a lot of fun and interesting facts, especially around nature. We were picked up on time, had a comfortable transportation and even had the time to add some extra activities that made our days super special.
When my friend sprained her ankle (my friend's fault), Kat was extra attentive and even took us to the hospital to have her checked and kept in contact with us to make sure my friend was ok. She went above and beyond with her guide duties. I am really grateful for this fun experience and caring team. It was fantastic!

Our tour guide from Lake Louise to Banff, Kaitlyn, was fantastic! I give her 5 gold stars. She drove us around for 2 days and it was the best part of the 8-day journey. She knows the mountains, the rivers, the lakes and every place to take us for the best view. We would tour with her again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Kat, Martha and Jim,

To say we had a fantastic time would be an understatement! Our Rocky Mountaneer train ride was excellent and we all gained a little weight after just 2 days. The weather cooperated and the train attendants were so good, we knew we were in good hands. Although long days, we definitely relaxed and probably a title too much so on to Banff for some touring and walking! Our hotel was quaint and clean and since it was our Anniversary recently and this was part of our gift to ourselves, they left us a beautiful welcome and Champagne. The first day of touring started a little rough in that our tour bus never showed up. After discussion with Ivana at Canada Rail Vacations, the owner, Martin Flanagan dropped his personal plans to escort us on a “private tour”. My friends and I decided to go to church as we now had time and we do believe this aided us in making the day super fantastic. This was so special, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The morning weather that was cool misty became warmer and sunny, the gondola ride did not disappoint and our dinner was wonderful. The following day was just as good into Lake Louise and back. The views on the very comfortable bus were different from the train but very enjoyable. The day we were leaving, our friends took a different shuttle on Banff air porter and one of them left her purse on the shuttle. After a call to Canada Rail Vacations and ?Vicki or Nicki? Was able to reach the shuttle and within 10 minutes had her purse returned intact! If we could give 6 stars, we would have. Thank you!!

We had Duncan as our guide for three days. One day tour in Jasper and another day Jasper to Banff via what was probably the most beautiful mountain scenery we’ve ever seen! Then we had him again for the lakes and waterfalls tour. He was a FANTASTIC guide, knowledgeable, patient, accommodating and clearly passionate. We could not have been more pleased!

Our tour guide Jake was one of the best guides I have had in my vacations. Jake was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. His explanations of the local history, the ecology of the area were respectful of the nature. His language was never offensive. He was also very mindful of the needs of the passengers, from kids to young couples, to older participants. Jake was always on time. I will certainly take another tour with Jake and recommend him to others.

I'm not someone who preferred to do tours. However, 3 days of van touring with Jake and Duncan gave me a different perspective. VERY ENJOYABLE AND WORTHWHILE. Our small group of 8 got along well and found our guides extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. Would not trade it for anything! Thank you!
