Une bonne expérience en général, mais il faut noter que l'hotel est en rénovation. Le restaurant/lounge était fermé en soirée , le petit café aussi, ouvert le matin pour le petit déjeuner. Ce n'est pas mentionné sur leur site internet.

It is an older hotel. It was clean. Location was excellent. Wall were thin and I could hear next-door. No heat controll and the room would
Not go below 25° very unpleasant sleep. I also had an indoor courtyard so I couldn’t open the window to cool it down..

I emailed the restaurant twice and requested a response to my concerns as i wanted to give them the opportunity to address it privately, however, they have not reponded to my emails, so i will make a post publically regarding our experince at the Season's Cafe in the Heritage Inn at Brooks, Alberta. This is my email that i sent.

"I just wanted to share our experience with the Sunday buffet at Season's Cafe yesterday (July 28).

I do want to say that we have been there several times approximately a year ago - the food was amazing, the price was great (there was a price for the breakfast buffet - i believe it was around $14 and if you wanted the entire brunch buffet, it was more). Again - a year ago, the food was fantastic and the staff was friendly.

Fast forward to YESTERDAY - we brought my elderly mother out for brunch - we arrived at 1:15 pm. The first thing i noticed that the full brunch was lacking - there were only 2 items (rice and a sweet and sour meat? on the 'lunch side').

The second thing we experienced was staff that were not at all friendly - the girl who brought us drinks just seemed very miserable, to be honest. Like we were inconveniencing her by coming in. At the time when we came in, there was 2 adults and 1 child in the restaurant - so they were not busy 🙂

It appeared that the fresh omelet station was closed, and no one came out to see if we wanted an omelet, however, near the end of our dining, we saw someone just went and stood there and finally someone came out.

So - the food. So disappointed....the food was barely luke warm - the eggs benedict was not edible, because of the temperature and because the english muffin bottom was too hard to even cut. My husband ate a small plate of food - and we finally got the attention of a staff and let them know that the food was luke warm - to which she replied that they have been having trouble with the warmers - and that possibly they are out of water.

So, this was a KNOWN problem - we weren't telling them something that they didn't know.....they chose to not address/fix the problem for the brunch - I'm not going to go into the food safe temperature for hot buffets as you know this. The problem is that this was a known issue and nothing was done to address it and fix it - or if they couldn't - shut the buffet down

The chef came out from the kitchen - and he deserves to be acknowledged. He did say that they have been having troubles with the warmers and actually checked the food - called the manager, i am assuming - i believe her name was Sherry?. He came back to us and said he wants us to come back and will comp. one of the meals, for which we thanked him.
He told the server to comp one meal and then 3 ladies stood around the till and were asking each other why they are doing that, with an attitude that they were not impressed with having to do that - it was rude and disrespectful - we could hear them.. The chef then came out again and shut the buffet down (this was approximately 1:40 pm). Which was the right decision to make for sure. Again, he dealt with the matter with integrity and care. I wish i knew his name, he deserves a big shoutout.

Lastly, the cost of the buffet - prior to our eating, we did ask the server if the breakfast buffet was a different price - she said it was not. Can i make the suggestion that it should be again? The $22 for that buffet is outrageous - even if it was proper temperature, there was nothing extra besides the rice and sweet and meat(?) - didn't try the rice or meat in sauce as it looked very old - even the desserts looked like they were a few days old, we didn't even try them, they looked that bad.

I hope that you take this information and do better....- much better. I chose to address this directly with the hotel, as opposed to doing a review online (which, i am not opposed to doing, i just felt that first, i wanted to address the concerns with you personally). "

Very disappointed in the experience and the lack of response.

The organization I am part of just had our event banquet here. They ran out of food before everyone was fed. I waited for 15 minutes for the mashed potatoes to be refilled before giving up to get 2 measley slices of roasted beef. My dinner consisted of a small amount of salad, some green beans and 2 pieces of beef. They ran out of potatoes and cooked up some french fries. Desert was store bought cookies, and they ran out of coffee. It took 2 hours to have our plates cleared from the table also. If you want a quality event, this is not the place.

Not the best room I have ever stayed in. Was so hot. Couldn't seem to get it to cool off. This was in January. One of the lamps also had no light bulb. The pillows were very lumpy.
The restaurant was a hit and miss. Went for lunch and shared some was wings, an order of fries, and one of us had a cup of their house soup. All of this was very good. At dinner time we ate in the lounge. The Taco Salad was very good although the shell could have been a little crispier as it was kind of chewy. The steak Sandwich was okay, but the Chicken Ceasar salad was not good as a lot of the lettuce was bad, and it was bland. The breakfast was included, which was nice, but if you got there before the brunch started at 10:00 there wasn't as much selection and all the HOT Food was COLD!

So I arrived today May 17th 2024.

The gal working the front was not very pleasant, not welcoming, honestly she looked like she absolutely hated her job, came across very rude.

So don't come here and expect to feel welcomed, you won't get it.

But the rooms are okay and the beds are super comphy.

Oh and the food at the pub is awesome 👌
