We bought two bottles of Ting carbonated beverage, but they were 5 years expired and tasted horrible!! Please remove from your shelves. We’re from out of town so we couldn’t return it. We also couldn’t find a phone number for your customer service counter anywhere online, so please add a phone line for circumstances such as these!

Update: recent change to no frills. Don't care for the color scheme but it's nice to have a refresh of the store. I haven't had too much time to see what the difference is from Extra foods, no name products are front and centre, which are sometimes good quality but sometimes not, you just have to give it a try and see. Eg. No name black beans: good, no name ramen noodles, bad. No name plum tomatoes: good, no name pineapple chunks: bad

Old review: Extra foods has been a good addition to our town as far as choices go. Sometimes they don't have what we are looking for, but I understand not being able to stock items that not many will buy. There have also been some issues with out of stock items, like 1% milk a week ago and produce that is a little past it's prime. Overall though I am happy with the choices and prices at extra foods.

Great store; the staff were amazing! Realizing we were from the United States, they made sure we took some of the best Canadian treats and food back with us. (In fact, our cashier realizing we did not have a chocolate loved by most Canadians personally left her register to run and get us one. Outstanding customer service!)

The staff is so nice to me. Sheri went and got my bread and milk for me when I was sick. Today the dear cashier packed my groceries and called for a carry out for me. They keep me shopping local. Of course they don’t have everything the jumbo city stores have. Boo hoo. This one’s just right, except the music is horrendously shrill. Go mellow.
