Cet hôtel n'est pas au centre-ville de Bonavista. On doit faire 5 à 6 km sur la route 230 avant d'y arriver. ||||L'hôtel est à rénover (décor des années 70-80) mais les chambres étaient propres. Plusieurs travailleurs l'utilisent ce qui fait qu'il est difficile d'y dormir tard le matin. L'hôtel a quand même un restaurant qui offre une cuisine correcte.

Never stayed here but did eat at the restaurant. The food was just okay. However the premises, from what I could tell without seeing the cabins or rooms, is definitely in need of some maintenance. Ther was a weird smell upon entering the extremely rundown main entrance. The smell was somewhere between damp/musty and sour, if that makes any sense. Very strange. The place seems extremely rundown. For a community like Bonavista that is tourist driven for the most part you would think a hotel in the area would be kept up.

Went to check in 2 1/2 hours after the set time got checked in went to room and she was still cleaning it. I complained at front desk as was told you want a clean room don’t you. Bathroom very small and tub was stained. The electric outlets very sparse had to unplug thing s to charge up your phones. Or if using hair dryer had to unplug things in room. I must say when we finally got to the room it was very clean, just dated.Hotel is old and in middle of the woods not close to Bonavista town.my original thought was were we’re going to be able to see the ocean, I guess I should have asked. Also we were stuck when traveling with a dog not many places let pets stay, so at least we could take the dog with us. Restaurant’s food was delicious and reasonable price got large portions. This was early July of 2024.

We are traveling through from New Hampshire, USA. We stopped for breakfast because it came highly recommended. They were right. The breakfast and service were outstanding. The people are so friendly. The cabins and rooms look nice too..We will return

Check in at 2pm we checked in at 4:30 room still not ready they were just cleaning it. Didn’t tell us they were cleaning it till I walked in on the cleaner and her reply was ok well you want a clean room.Tub had stains bathroom very small. Food good

Stayed at this hotel July 20,21/24, 3 other adults with me,not to impressed with this Hotel..owner desperately needs to upgrade,as soon as you walk in the reception area you met with a bad smell,sewer like smell,staff is very friendly,but noticed that one person seems to had multiple jobs,,The rooms,well now that's another story,only 2 outlets,and one the tv.and AC is plugged into.the other is the refrigerator and lamp..had to unplug the lamp in order to charge one phone at a time..the windows are all steamed and inside panel there is dew there..seems like to me the seals are broken in window.no kettle etc,no ice had to go to front desk to ask for ice and than they had to go to basement to get it,,the bathrooms have no electrical outlet.very outdated ,not appealing to the eyes,,bathtub had imprints of flowers ,I guess it's the stick on ones you used in the 70's,, heaters on wall was rusty,,and the water,,was hot one moment cold the next.and slow you had to be careful taking a shower.only 2 of each face cloth,bath,and hand towels,there was 4 adults in one room. Good thing we brought our own,second day of stay gets back to hotel water was gone..no water,, couldn't flush or wash your hands or get shower.lady at desk said it was gone 3 times that day..heard that one person was all lattered up in shower and couldn't wash the soap of themselves,,unreal...then when it finally worked,got in shower and suddenly it went scalding hot,nearly burned myself had to jump back.than it went freezing cold,and it was very slow the whole time we were there..this hotel is a last minute stay,when you have no where else to stay and you can tell.The owner needs to step up to the plate,and do a complete makeover ,$160.00 per night stay, is way to much for a room,especially when you don't have running water for awhile.but like I said,,it's a last minute ditch, when your stuck..would not recommend it to anyone ,only if your in divers straight..clean there, but old,paint of walls in room we stayed,but the staff was very good.and friendly,,

A group of us visited for a couple of nights in July, with several of us staying in the hotel while 8 of us stayed in the cabins. Everyone commented on the cleanliness of the rooms and the quietness of the area. We had 2 meals (one dinner, one breakfast) and all commented on the food. It was great, and lots of it! From the liver and onions to the fish to the hot turkey sandwiches, everyone enjoyed the food. They have the best french fries! Breakfast was a little slow, but that was OK.

Visited the hotel on July 22nd to July 23rd. Front desk clerk , Shannon , was very friendly. Went for supper and waitress Shannon again was very friendly and welcoming. Dining room was very busy the 2 days I was there, hope they have a good commercial dishwasher because they sure needed it them 2 days. Food was delicious and we did get our money's worth , excellent food and service. Later that night we went to the bar and the bartender once again was Shannon. Even though Shannon was doing multiple jobs she still had a smile on her face and was very professional and friendly. A big KUDOS to Shannon . Shannon's great service would make up for any faults if any. Friendly housekeeping, friendly male helper that was there , friendly cook and delicious food . Overall a great stay.
