I feel like this place will get better over time, as I understand the place has been here several decades but got a new owner last year some time and they are making changes actively.

So take this as potentially a review of the past state of the place, depending on when you're reading this, but here are some things to be aware of if you're planning to stay:

There is little to no soundproofing and we could hear traffic of the highway clearly and guests very clearly in neighboring rooms and hallways talking, laughing, showering, coughing, walking, moving about, hocking a loogie etc and could hear mice above in the ceiling. Some people would be put off by these things, but honestly the bed was clean and comfortable and the price was good so we were content. There was only one plug outlet though, which was being used dangerously, with an outlet splitter connected to a thin extension cord feeding into a power bar which was used for many high load appliances including the microwave, mini fridge, internet, flatscreen, lamp, alarm clock and coffee machine. Theres no way it would be considered up to code. In fact many sockets in the outlet splitter they used were blown out and its clear why. Would recommend a room here if you need a place to stay while moose hunting or on your way to the Ferry.

The owner Norm was friendly, helpful, and he has a great sense of humor. We arrived later than expected after a long day but we were more than happy to chat with him. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Free wifi and TV was included. Thanks for your great service!

Really nice people,a little out dates but really clean and they are about to put a Restaurant in, and also they have a Chargeing Station there.After Covid it was hard on every one and they made it through, and are trying to improve there motel, we should all try and help by staying there, and also it is right on the highway 1hour and Ten minutes outside Portauxbas.

Rode through here 2018 was pitch black, bugs relentless. Got off the ferry and had no clue where i would stay, to see the day light. Rode till I could not see anything and popped into this place. Never in my life was happier to see a bed site! Not only did they help me out but treated me like family twice (on the return back home as well) as well as gave me tips of things to come. Would not hesitate a moment to stay here again and I'm coming again. True people with real hearts cant wait to see you again and hope you are there still.

I think this business is permanently closed, it looks dilapidated. There is a 62.5 KW EV charger here that worked very well. Forget getting a coffee while you wait, there isn't even a bathroom.

Currently this place is closed but there is an EV charge point here. However, the motel has changed hands and is being renovated so watch this space!
