The Gem of the West museum is a must see for anyone with roots to Coaldale. So amazing to walk through the church my grandfather & his family helped to build. Visiting the museum brought a flood of memories & stories from my father as we explored the church of his youth.
I highly recommend taking in the Gem of the West to understand the heritage of Southern Alberta & there journey to Canada

Quite an impressive museum in this small town that is well worth the stop. Only $5 admission fee and you could easily spend an hour here. Lots of vintage items and antiques to look at, all nicely arranged by category. Friendly staff were on hand to explain the museum, and answer questions. I was the only one here when I visited on a Friday morning. Recommended!

I was there to sing some Christmas Carols with people at a +55 Seniors Lunch. It was awesome! Great food, and beautiful space, and lots of curious items to see.

Lovely little museum! Very active in the community too. Often, there are craft shows and other community classes or events. Worth the short drive from Lethbridge or Taber.
