I feel bad for the owners here, you can tell they have made a big investment but due to the lack of quality service the experience is just not a good standard.

Room service will not replace the towels on a week stay, they insist we wash our own towels, two rooms for a week each it seems strange that they refuse to change the towels even once. Poor.

The facilities are definately a bit old and run down, but thats all forgivable. A person comes for a vacation looking to take a break and have a good time, not to wash towels and get told the staff cant provide basic services.

>Side note - we booked the two rooms at the same time, the two rooms we got are as far away from each other as possible within this building, a floor apart and two long hallways away. Seems like they could have done a better job with that but a fundamental lack of care and interest in the guest experience.

If I owned this place I would be embarrased to have such careless, lazy service staff.

We booked the Paradise Resort for a Christmas eve and boxing day celebration with our family of 10. We booked two, 2 bedroom suites. The accomodation itself was fairly clean and practical. Everything we needed was provided.

One bed had to be remade upon our arrival due to hair on the bedsheet. Two of the bedsheets had rips but were clean. The biggest issue was the noise and the lack of concern by the resort manager. The front desk staff were very helpful but unable to resolve the issue. Our son and and his wife, and their 14 year old daughter didn't get to sleep until after 3 AM due to the racket of the guests on the floor above!

My son contacted the front desk but they had closed at 11:00 PM. The notice say's if you have a noise complaint call the RCMP! Of course my son wasn't going to call the RCMP for a noise complaint. So the next day he went and talked to the front desk and demanded that the manager call him which he never did!

My son was ready to leave and cut our family time short! Thankfully my wife was able to figure out which room had been so noisy and went and talked to the occupants. It turned out they were residents and didn't realize that their kids had been so noisy but agreed to make sure it wouldn't happen again.
The next night was much better but the fact that the manager was no where to be found was a bit disconcerting. My son left numerous requests for the manager to call, both my wife and I requested a call, and even on checkout we asked to speak to the manager; the manager never called.

It's been over a week since we checked out and still no call. No apologies and of course no follow up from the resort asking how our stay had been.

So, that's why I'm writing this less than stellar review on Google!

The resort is amazing! Very well managed and manicured!
The staff was amazing in pampering all of us. I went with my mom nieces and nephew. There was 10 of us for every meal and every gathering and the staff accommodated every request we had. The food was amazing the waiters were above and beyond.
They had to join three tables together to accommodate our group for every meal!

Definitely highly recommended for a family vacation...the beach combed daily and the pools amazing! Great slides for the kids...my nieces and nephew literally wouldn't leave the pool every day until the daily deadline of 9pm...

Overall amazing resort ....

Great place to unwind and relax. Met some very nice people while visiting and enjoyed the amenities. Loved the indoor outdoor hot tub. Valley kids Retail shop was a great place to grab a gift, Pharmacy had toothpaste, Spa for couples massage, games room, there was even a cool looking Tattoo Parlour.

Booked here for four nights at the Canmore location, Booked on bookings.com.
When I arrived, I was told that there would be an additional $65 surcharge that I was not aware of. My confirmation email and booking.com app were showing paid in full, so I'm a bit confused. They wouldn't let me in the room until the outstanding surcharge was settled, as it seemed like either a booking.com or resort club glitch or expedia.com problem ( not sure why they were involved ) they asked me to call booking.com to sort it out, in my opinion I did everything a normal guest should do, Booked, paid then showed up. I refused to take on the issue as it would take my time for someone else's glitch, mess up. After about 40mins at the counter with a manager and assuming someone higher up on a phone call, they let me go to the room that I have already paid for. But not without being interrupted by a guest requesting to have a look at a different room, thus delaying me just that little bit more. Haha

The hospitality industry's lodging sector is based on helping the guest for an efficient seamless experience, so if there was a glitch or problem on their end, I should have been on my way to the room and in the background they could have looked into the problem. And I might be asking too much, but I can't recall a simple apology about the mix-up or on the untimely manner this was handled.

Update Oct,8/24:
I often take the stairs as elevators can be busy or slow, noticed a pile of garbage bags at the base of the stairwell that came with a pleasant aroma throughout the building.

If your room is 112 , prepare to sleep late or not to sleep at all. Near to the bar too noisy
