By far the best thing to do as someone visiting Fort Mac! I went up in a Cessna with instructor Roger for a beautiful morning flight over town and the oil sands.

Got a chance to try the controls, and we had beautiful views. Roger was fun to fly with! A really unique experience, and the highlight of our trip up north.

And it was under $300 for the hour (total, not each), which is a great price!

I took a flight from Calgary just to see the oil sands and I wasn't disappointed! Very good friendly service, price is reasonable at about $300 for an hour flight. The flight itself was exhilarating, very safe but giving you sensations you'd never feel on a larger airplane, and the awesome views of the oil sands help put things in perspective. I would suggest visiting the oil sands discovery centre first so you have some idea of what you're looking at, as pilots are not tour guides and will not give you a ton of technical info on the oil sands. Highly recommended!

The staff are friendly and thorough. The fleet might not be this year’s model, but it’s more than serviceable. The views… spectacular. If you’ve never flown a small, regional airline, these folks will spoil you for the rest.

Staff are Very friendly , always treat me awesome,
The pilots are number 1.
Need the planes cleaned up I'm a clean freak lol
Some seats need the covering done over.
I would clean it for free

Kleine lokale Fluggesellschaft mit Charterflügen im Angebot. Flugstunde mit der kleinsten Cesna kostet 375 CAD. Im Angebot ist ein szenischer Rundflug zu den Athabasca-Dünen. Etwas über 2h für 780 CAD. Dabei wurden auch die Ölsand-Tagebaue überflogen (obwohl dies eigentlich eine andere Tour ist - wurde aber wegen der Überziehung der 2h auch 30 Dollar teurer, aber war es wert). Als Schmankerl durfte der Passagier auf dem Co-Pilotensitz auch mal die Steuerung übernehmen. Insgesamt coole Sache.

Always delays and very uncoordinated. Waited over an hour and I asked where’s my pilot and they said “getting the plane ready”. That’s it. I always fly with this charter every two weeks and lately I’ve been having bad experiences with them.

I've used McMurray Aviation several times now to fly up to Fort Chip, they pilots are always friends and it's a beautiful trip.
