I booked this hotel in October 2022 for my wedding night in August 2023. I disclosed that it would be my wedding night.
We got in the room and we turned on the jacuzzi (which is the whole reason I wanted to stay there!). Faucet broke and exploded on the ceiling soaking all our cards and wedding gifts. Talked to management about it, blamed it as an act of God that could not have been prevented (which it could’ve been if proper maintenance was made). Refunded us and said they would call me back to discuss further compensation. Never called. Very rude on the phone, basically never apologized for all this happening on my wedding night. Would recommend going literally anywhere else but there.

Horrible experience with this hotel. So last year we booked a room for our tenth anniversary which was a bad experience. No tv (missing cable box and wires hanging down), hardware hanging from bathroom, buzzing heaters, no robes in room, clogged drains. Etc. Left a negative honest review and to my surprise the manager called me and offered us not only a free room, but a free night in their BEST room with all the toppings ( chocolate covered strawberries, wine and rose petals). I was so surprised and thought wow! Fast forward to our free night -- we got one of the rooms across the street that is more like a cheap motel. Hardware missing in bathroom and none of the extras that were promised. We thought the room seemed clean until we found a candy under the bed... gross. While we were checking in at 4 pm (check in is at 3) there was someone in front of us still waiting for their room to be clean. Awful service. While we appreciated the free night, was just another disappointment and confirmed why we'd never go back. Prices do not reflect the spa like experience you expect. Do not book.

We had the ABSOLUTELY BEST stay of our whole weeks long vacation at the Monastery Comfy beds, quiet rooms Jacuzzi was AMAZING and we even got a nice view of the curch across the street. plus the lady Susanne at the front desk was so welcoming and fun she even gave us a great recommendation of the best breakfast place in the city. will DEFINITELY be back again!!

We stayed in the jacuzzi room for one night. The room was clean, but the fireplace was broken, so we couldn’t use it. There was also no hot water in our room for a while because “everybody else was using it”, so we couldn’t use the jacuzzi until late. The staff were very nice and friendly, but clearly did not receive a lot of training from management, and were confused by our gift certificate for dinner and champagne. I left a clothing item behind after I checked out, and when I realized a couple hours later, I called the hotel and was assured they would put the item aside for me. The next day, I stopped by to pick it up, but the front desk staff didn’t know anything about it. I called again the next day and after some pointed questions, the staff admitted it was probably just thrown in the trash. It was my fault for leaving it behind, but isn’t it normal for hotels to have a Lost and Found to keep items in for at least 24 hours?

We stayed here for three nights (Aug. 12, 13, & 14) and it was great. The room was large and spacious, the bed was super comfortable, it was quiet and clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was close to the downtown area, so was walkable to shops and dining. Our room had a cook top, microwave, fridge, dishes, glasses, pots & pans, cutlery, a table and chairs, and a coffee maker - we weren't expecting this, but it came in super handy for quick breakfasts and lunches. Would absolutely stay here again.

extremely disappointed with my stay here. for $300 i could have went somewhere much more modern, nicer, cleaner, and more comfortable. it was a complete waste of money. the only good thing was the size of the tub. the water pressure was stingy and took nearly a half hour to fill up and only a couple of the jets worked. the room itself was dirty, the floors were so dirty i couldn’t even take my shoes off which is insane. the bed had NO headboard and was extremely uncomfortable and the sheets did not fit on the bed. we had to get up in the middle of the night several times to fix the sheet that kept coming off because it was too small. the pillows were horrendous and seem like they’ve been slept on for 10+ years. extremely lumpy and gross pillows. they were so lumpy and uncomfortable i woke up in the middle of the night with an earache and headache and was ready to cut my stay short and leave. i did not sleep at all that night and it was horrible. i have never had an issue with any hotel bed or pillows in my life until this place. even much lower end hotels have better sleeping arrangements. the walls are very thin and i could hear the people in the room next to us talking and walking around quite often. which isn’t really ideal for this spa like romantic experience that is advertised. the wifi was terrible and we had to use our data/hotspot in order to watch TV. another thing i have never experienced at a hotel before. the TV was also very small and old looking. there was only one mini shampoo, conditioner, and lotion for 2 people. the room was unbearably hot when we arrived with the heat set to 26 degrees when it was already 25+ degrees outside that day as this happened during the summer.

needless to say i will never ever come back here and will be letting everyone i know to avoid this place at all costs. much better and even cheaper places around with a jacuzzi tub. don’t waste your money or your time here. 1 star all around.
