Despite supposedly having disability training, I've experienced dozens of autistic people contacting me about GoBus drivers choosing to entertain passengers with invasive music over accommodating autistic audio sensory sensetivities. Not only this is this practice demonstrably and undeniably ableist, but is unabashedly and unapologetically ableist. Such acts of discrimination in choosing the continued privilege of non-autistic people over easing the pain of autistic people not only plainly demonstrates a need for adequate disability training for drivers of GoBus, but shows that such acts of harmful discrimination are easily ignored by GoBus employees. A need to raise the bar is obvious.

Right now it's 2.5 out of 5. I will give credit when it's due but it's not as accessible to us as it once was. I only joined it almost 2 years now and up till this past winter, I have experienced a decent in the overall service from both quality and quantity points. Increasing ridership without increasing the resources to run the service is not ideal in any aspect and having an reasonable service for the riders in reasonable expectations would be best for everyone. Here you have all these customers and little room to accommodate them. Reasonable expectations are needed to get the service back to par standards. Resources are needed to get people moving normally again.

Had a lady who could no longer drive her home care patient of 20 years anywhere because apparently she didn’t have the right license, so they scheduled Gobus for the elderly disabled woman. She ended up not being picked up for two hours, and every time we called it was “oh it should be there now in a second!” But never did show up.
This is ridiculous how this company treats its customers honestly, specially since they cater to the elderly and disabled you’d think they would have their scheduling and communication better since they deal with some of society’s most vulnerable people!!

Horrible service! Leaving blind individuals standing out in all weather waiting on a ride that doesn’t show up and then claim they were a no show! Showing up after their “pickup window”! Would you accept more than a thirty minute wait? DO BETtER!

Been using this service for over 5 years now and I am so grateful that I can!! I would be lost without it, the dispatchers are great, the drivers are fantastic! If you follow their guidelines and schedule appropriately there isn't usually a problem, can count on less than 1 hand having any major issues. With the amount of users compared with the number of buses, plus traffic and unforeseeable situations plz remember where we would be without this service, I know I feel blessed to have them!

It is great that go bus offers transportation for the disabled, but they honestly need to get their act together.
EXTREMELY unorganized.
EXTREMELY rude staff.
I use the go bus fairly frequent with my job.
My last two experiences with them have been disgraceful.
First experience:
I was waiting to be picked up to go back home. I know that the bus sometimes comes 15-20 minutes early so i started watching for the bus at that time. About ten minutes after my bus was supposed to pick me up, I called and asked when I should expect it. I was told very rudely that someone was already there and I was a no show, the person apparently went inside as well and called out our name. (This is false as I was sat next to the door the whole time I was there so there is no way anyone went inside. I would of seen and heard them. When I told them this, I was pretty much called a liar and that there was nothing that they could do but have me wait over an hour for a new ride. Unacceptable.
My second experience has happened today.
We are booked to go to another outing and this booking has been made for over a week now.
15 minutes pass and the bus still isn’t here. I call and ask where my bus is. They have the audacity to tell me that they don’t even have a bus assigned to get us yet and one will be there as soon as it can get there. It is almost an hour since I was supposed to be picked up and still no bus. ( but they will only wait 5 minutes even if they come early ) Again, unacceptable. I wish there was another way of transporting because there is no way I would still be using this company if I didn’t depend on it.

In general, wait times can be unpredictable. I have been using Gobus for several years here in St. John’s. I have many great Gobus stories. I also have many Gobus horror stories. The telephone system is quite lengthy, I have found. Overall, it is a good service if it worked better. It’s easy to say that more buses are needed but that is not always possible.Punctuality, traffic conditions of the day and unpredictable delays will always factor at any time! It’s such an important service for those who are not able to move around on their own.
Also, the weather conditions of the day, rules everything!

Waited three hours for a bus to pick up my grandmother. Called their line, on hold for over 50 minutes, was informed by a absolutely lovely young man that they had forgotten about my grandmother, no one was on the way to pick her up. This was not the first time, however this was the straw that broke the camel's back. If I could have given Zero Stars, I would have.
Three hours? For an elderly stroke victim to wait? Absolutely ridiculous. So many others have gone through the same thing within recent months since the Metro Acquisition.
Please fix the system, before someone is injured by it.
