Great Hike. There is a Lake Trail, Hoodoo trail and Skyline Trail. The Lake Trail is the easiest. The hoodoo has some tricky spots for people with mobility issues. There are some spots with downed logs on all the trails. We camped out at the Narrows Campsite it is at the end of the maintained trail and was a little tricky to get to with lots of downed trees in the last 300m. Sandstone is probably a nicer campsite with more spots for tents.

Most people just hike the 2km in to see the hoodoos but the trail continues south along the lake and crosses Sundance Creek at the south end of the lakes and comes out on an oilfield lease. The whole trail is just under 12km long. The trail is easy to follow to about km5 and then you need to keep a sharp eye out for flagging that kind people have hung over the years as the trail gets less distinct. At the south end you will hit a patch of trees with horseshoes embedded in them, take a hard right (west) and cross the creek via a pretty rickety bridge. From there the trail is easier to follow again. There are supposed to be campsites along the trail but the only one that seemed to have even a flat spot for a tent is about km 5 where a nice creek flows into the lake. There is a picnic table around km 8. According to Strava it was 11.88km and took me 2:45 minutes of steady walking coming back north, so presumably about the same going south though I lost the trail a couple times going south do maybe a bit longer; of course if you had two vehicles you could drop one at one end or the other. The trail is fairly flat except at the south end but does have some side hill and wet ground so wear hiking boots. There is one spot where the flagging forks, I would keep on the trail closer to the lake. I am sure everyone coming after would appreciate if you added to the flagging, maybe you yo if you are going both directions 😉.

A bit hard to get there. Need to drive 50 Km+ on gravel road from Edson. The trail is beautiful with lots of wild flowers and interesting sceneries. The lake is nice, cool and clean. Very quite when we were there. Nothing is near by so make sure to bring everything with you. There is public washroom at the entrance and picnic tables.

A moderate trail system with plenty of side hilling along the route. Road access in was along oilfield roads, best to have a radio or take it easy, also rough in some spots. The hoodoo area is near the beginning of the trail so it's easy to get to if that's what you're looking for.

This is an amazing little gem. Went out with the whole family. There is a nice little picnic area with pretty clean outhouses at the start; bring your own hand sanitizer though. The trail is good for hikers of all ages. Just be sure to watch younger hikers as the trail is quite narrow with some steep edges. However the views are spectacular and the hoodoos are amazing. So many of them and just pristine. We came at just the right time of year, as all of the flora was in bloom and the colours mixed with the lush greens to make it feel like you where walking in a painting. We are looking forward to coming back and exploring some more.

What an awesome worthwhile trek. Fairly easy walking but at least 1.5 km off from the parking lot. Bring water.. and wear good shoes.

Had a very good time. The trails are cleared of dead fall and branches but they are natural hiking trails in a high erosion area so expect to find places on the trail where the trail has washed away or slumped down. We did get stuck behind a slow moving group for a while before we found a spot wide enough to pass. Overall the sights far out weigh any inconveniences you might have on the trails.

Nice... right in my "back yard". Long gravel road to get to it, but if you're going by... may as well go see the hoodoos. They start about a km in and last about the same length.
