First time staying here and it exceeded my expectations. I was travelling with two young kids so the pool was a big draw. Everything was clean and well maintained, we all had lots of fun on the waterslide (lit up in the inside which was a very fun feature). The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds comfortable.
Our check in experience was wonderful. I didn’t catch the name of the staff member who helped us but everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was great, my kids got a kick out of the pancake machine. Lots of seating too.
If I’m ever in need of a room in Red Deer we will be back!

We stayed here for a night with our two toddlers and it was great! The kids loved the pool, the rooms were clean and spacious. The eating area downstairs had lots of space and the breakfast in the morning had a lot of options. Great experience! Would stay again.

A great place to come with your sports team. The staff are very patient and accommodating.
The rooms are clean and in good repair. The hotel has the ability to book off floors of rooms for your team so they can all be together.
The breakfast is delicious and has enough variety for everyone. The automatic pancake maker is a real hit with the kids! Just push a button and voila! A pancake comes out onto their plate. No mess no fuss.
The large eating area is perfect for gathering together or if you are there alone there are some good private spots as well.
The pool and slide 🛝 are popular here too. There is plenty of free parking and it is easy to get in and out of this location.

Selma and her team in Group Events are amazing. They were very accommodating to our team's needs during a recent stay for a hockey tournament. This was my second experience at this hotel, and I would highly recommend it for any group stays. Overall, the rooms were clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. Location is also great and close to restaurants and grocery stores. A+ |

We had a clean room for NYE, but my dress was stolen while going on their slide in the pool area. The complimentary breakfast was less the satisfying (hashbrowns were like rocks) and we asked for a late checkout and was allowed an extra 30 mins, which was not ideal. Unfortunately wouldn't recommend friends/family to stay here.

I recently had an unpleasant experience while delivering food to a customer staying at Holiday Inn Express, 6433 Orr Dr., at around 11:20 PM yesterday. The customer had requested that I leave the food at their door (Room 505) and use the elevator.

When I arrived at the front desk, I politely asked for directions to the elevator, explaining that I was delivering food for a guest. The front desk staff member, John, asked for the customer’s name, which I provided, but he claimed the name wasn’t in their system and refused to let me proceed.

While I was trying to resolve the issue, a lady staff member interrupted, raised her voice at me, and instructed John to call the RCMP. I attempted to contact the customer to explain what was happening but couldn’t get through. The same lady returned shortly after, pulled out her phone, and aggressively told me to leave immediately.

This behavior was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. As someone simply trying to do their job, I expected better treatment and communication from the staff.

If the manager reads this, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter in person. Situations like this can be handled with much more courtesy and respect.
