This hotel is very run down, smelly and freezing cold. We booked for 2 night and checked out after the first night. Our room had no heat, the window was stuck open a quarter inch and wouldn’t close. We had to stick 2 pillows and prop the pillows with the iron board. The bathroom had no water until they realized that the water had been shut off. Light switch didn’t work and the outlets that were available were burned and over loaded. No heat in the hallways and the pool was dirty and freezing cold. No breakfast, but no one would want to eat here. The front desk fellow was wearing a hat, heavy jacket and had a heater running at his feet. Totally disgusting!!

I went inside to book a place, and although the guy was friendly, the price they were offering for a run down, smelly, poorly maintained building was atrocious.
Even if the price was lower, I wouldn't have stayed here.

Whoever owns this place needs to get off their high horse and actually work to get some standards in here in terms of hospitality as well as cleanliness. This isn't even a middle run-of-the-mill motel.
Atrocious.

I feel sorry for any poor soul that books through online booking or desperation.

Really sad, considering the location is pretty decent.

The room was Booked in red deer through Traveluro you advertise as a travel lodge you are not a travel lodge. Your rooms are absolutely a disgrace, filthy mold, Dirt grime rooms have not been cleaned sheets have not been changed They were inside out.

The bathtub was filthy black and when we tried to resolve this late at night till we arrived (11 o’clock) we were kindly told if we didn’t like it we could go elsewhere. I wouldn’t let my dog stay in this room yet alone humans.

When I tried to speak to the manager, I have called for five days. They’re never in won’t return the phone call. Don’t care about it.

I advise you never book here!!!!

Very dated, smells musty and smoky throughout the whole building, my room was quite clean, but lots of cigarette burns in carpet and worn out badly. My daughter and friend stayed in room beside me and it had dirty linens and hair all over in bathroom. Business room had a pedal bike in it, garbage overflowing with garbage and very dark and dungy. Staff was very nice, no breakfast anymore and it was disgustingly dirty... like they just walked away after last service, half a pail of dirty mop water and mop still sitting in there. No restaurant on site so I'm not sure where some of these good reviews are coming, based on names I'd say friends or relatives of the owner... no ice, pop or snack machines either, wouldn't stay there again

I recently stayed at the charming Red Deer Motel, and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service.

The motel's location is ideal, situated conveniently close to the downtown area and local attractions, yet still offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. The room I stayed in was immaculately clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment throughout my stay.

What truly stood out to me was the attention to detail and the little touches that made my stay extra special. From the complimentary refreshments to the cozy bedding, it was evident that the staff goes above and beyond to ensure their guests feel welcome and cared for.

The amenities offered at the Red Deer Motel are top-notch. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the complimentary breakfast provided a great start to each day. Additionally, the free Wi-Fi and ample parking made my stay even more convenient.

Overall, I highly recommend the Red Deer Motel to anyone visiting the area. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, you're sure to enjoy a fantastic stay with exceptional service. I can't wait to return on my next trip to Red Deer!

We entered the room that was given and it was not cleaned up after the previous individual had used it. The sheets were clearly slept in, the red bull can on the nightstand, the dirty used towels in the bathroom sink (Images attached). We had to go back downstairs to the receptionist and request for a new room.

On top of that one of the individuals who was checking into their room who we had witnessed before us had also come downstairs to request for a new room because theirs was also not cleaned. We overheard one of the other clients being charged $600 (home boy was dark skinned), while we were only charged $100 for the damage deposit and when we had gone downstairs to request for a new room we overheard the couple behind us being charged $450 for damage deposit.

When we entered the next hotel room that we were given, I tried to open the window curtains wider to allow more light into the room and all of a sudden the curtain pops out. We fixed it of course we were handy like that.

But despite all that, the hotel was pretty silent at night, oh and the showers were quite powerful and refreshing.

Hotel still comes up as a Travelodge. But that is not what it was.

This hotel is by far the worst hotel ever. This is not even a 1 star hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, the outside is the best part of it. Walking in the reception area is dirty. The staff member was nice. Once in the elevator it was dirty and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Upon entering the room, there was cigarette burns in the comforter and smelled of smoke. This was their "upgraded" room. I would hate to see what the other rooms looked like.

Unfortunately, the hotel has denied the request as hotel had already offered you a non smoking room and a upgraded room but you denied henceforth we will not be able to secure a waiver on your behalf.

Steer clear of this hotel!!! I drove back home and came back the next day and would rather put the long days in than stay at this hotel.
