Visited early afternoon on a Sunday, there were minimal crowds and lots of open games to play. This is a great entertainment spot in the perfect area of Red Deer. Brand new games and a great atmosphere. Love the card loading station and the discount on purchasing more tokens.

The 7D game experience is fun, and they offer lazer tag, birthday rooms and many food options.

This is a large venue capable of handling any size birthday party or any celebration. It’s spacious and has a variety of activities from bowling, laser tag, classic pinball machines, newer arcade style games and some fairground style games like basketball hoops, skeet ball, and knock down the clown. The menu has a large selection of variety and it’s a licensed facility. It has a large restaurant style seating area with tables for your comfort and relaxation while the children play. There is plenty of free parking right beside the building. It is on the east end of the old Peavy Mart building right beside the south Hill Canadian tire.

I think the idea behind this place is awesome maybe not the follow through. The games they have are good but they do not have a huge selection of games to pick from. Some of the games are out of order as well. The laser tag they have is basically group only and no single player join in and the tokens are very expensive for what you get. I do hope they bring a bigger selection of games in the future.

Great little place that the city Definetly needed! Was exceptionally clean (even the bathroom) the space while small is certainly used thoroughly with enough space for around 25 games, a laser tag arena, a 7d Dark Ride virtual ride, and a lounge/restaurant which was serving quite some scrumptious food. The fact the miniature bowling alley is being advertised yet not functioning (at least as of this review) was a little upsetting as my GF and I were looking forward to that. The organization of the 7D Ride and Lazer tag games seems a bit… dodgy at times without being in a big group. Definitely is a take your card home type of place tho as the ticket costs for prizes are grind worthy and dumping $75-$100 on arcade games while fun might not be everyone’s cup of tea, so prepare to save for tho big prizes!

Awesome venue. Went for a date day and played loads of arcade games. The 7D experience was amazing, be ready for a photo to be taken haha. The food was fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely a great addition to Red Deer.

Kelsie and her crew at Boardwalk went above and beyond to put together and host an awesome evening for the Red Deer Minor Football coaches and board members! From the planning stages and initial conversation with the owners, to the night of the event; the entire process was swift and easy. The bartenders created a unique cocktail menu for us catered to our organization and the food was pretty awesome! The staff were phenomenal, Ashley and her team behind the bar were professional, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The venue is clean and we had a blast checking out the games and dark ride. If you’re looking to hold an event and support a locally owned business, I highly recommend checking this place out. From the Red Deer Minor Football team, thanks Boardwalk for a great evening, we appreciate all you did for us!

A decent start. Needs more games - quality experiences that people come back for. Right now there are too many forgettable machines where you hit one button and a few seconds later get some tickets. Also, really disappointing value on mini-donuts. People will pay more for a memorable portion - games or food. You can take that to the bank, friends.

After hearing about this place on the radio, our group of 10 country folk arrived after a long drive; as all my son wanted was laser tag for his birthday gift. David was an exceptional host who put together an impromptu birthday package to make my son feel very special. We had not made prior arrangements and to do this without any notice, was absolutely exceptional and unexpected.

We have frequented many of these entertainment centres in the cities. What makes this one far exceed the others, is their staff. Normally in these places, you are met with scowling or indifferent employees who are watching the clock and avoiding their duties. At Boardwalk, EVERY single staff member who was working on Friday was completely engaged with the patrons, going above and beyond to show care and concern - constantly checking in with us parents, patiently dealing with endless kids' questions, trying to match up lost toys and pictures with their tiny owners - amazing. The facility was unbelievably clean and well kept and all the staff were smiling and conversational.

While there are bigger and fancier centres closer to us, with a pile more games and offerings, the atmosphere and vibe that Boardwalk staff has going on, makes this our new favorite. Thank you David for saving Milez's birthday and making this a memory we will never forget. Even though it's an hour and a half drive, we will definitely be seeing you again!
