I called Care For A Ride since I needed a ride home from day surgery. I am not a senior, but their website says they now help everyone. I needed a ride from the Fort Saskatchewan hospital to my home in Fort Saskatchewan, since the hospital
would not let me take a taxi. The hospital actually recommended this place to me. Their website says they serve ALL surrounding areas of Edmonton, but I was told that they won’t drive me within Fort Saskatchewan as it’s not worth their while to dispatch someone from Edmonton to pick me up. I think I spoke with Shelly, if I recall the name correctly. I told her I was desperate for a ride, and that I was willing to pay the fee for transportation to and from Edmonton to make it worth their while. She said she’d look into it and return my call, but never did. I carefully went through my call history to make sure I didn’t miss her call, as I was certain she would call me back. Nope.
Their website also says they go the extra mile for people. I don’t think they did in this situation at all. Care For a Ride, my advice to you is that you change your website to specify what kinds of rides you’re not willing to provide. “Transportation in Edmonton AND ALL surrounding areas” is misleading. Also, please have the decency to return phone calls when you say you will.

Outstanding! This company has taken my mom to and from a day program, 3 times a week for almost 2 years. The drivers are so kind, friendly and cheerful. They have almost always arrived within the expected time frame and when they are running late or early, have always let us know.

What would I do without CARE for a RIDE ! Such a great relief when I have to take my mobility challenged Mom to the doctors. There exactly on time, drivers who help Mom in and out of the vehicle and manage her transport chair. And lovely caring drivers.

I specifically ordered One Step wipes from you because that is what you advertised on your site. Otherwise, I would not have ordered it. One step wipes are already on the government list as approved. The unknown brand you sent me has an odd smell to it and less alcoholic smell than the One Step brand.
This package also has no details...where it was made, and what it consists of besides 70% stamped on the package. I do not recommend buying this to anyone who thinks they will actually be getting One Step. I had put actual 70% alcohol on a paper towel and it still smells like alcohol unlike whatever this is that you sold to me for over $80.

On July 26th I used the services of Care For a Ride and would certainly recommend the whole experience to everyone. The drivers I had were wonderful and also the people who answered the phone were excellent.
