Great trip on the Cabot Trail, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada. Inns were all nice; food was great; guide was very friendly, flexible, and accommodating; beautiful scenery. Provided bikes were great and maintained in excellent working condition. Highly recommend Freewheeling Adventures for your next bike trip, and they have trips all over, not just in Canada, although they are based in Canada. One caveat: before signing up, inquire about the degree of difficulty; their green, blue, black rating system is not enough info. Any "more challenging" black portion is WAY more difficult than the blue portions, which are described as requiring moderate fitness.

The Freewheeling Adventures tour of the Cabot Trail exceeded my expectation in every way. As someone who loves cycling, I was thrilled to convince a few friends to join me on this trip, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience.

Growing up on the East Coast, I've always loved the beauty of fall foliage, but after moving to Alaska, I really missed the vibrant colors of an eastern autumn. We planned the timing of this trip perfectly- the leaves were at their peak, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

The coordination of the trip logistics was seamless. From lodging to food, luggage transport and bike rentals, everything was incredibly well- organized and stress-free. The accommodations were outstanding, with each location offering its own unique style, vibe, and charm.

The food was a highlight- delicious, thoughtfully chosen, and definitely one of the best parts of the trip. Every meal felt like a reward after a great day of cycling.

Our guide, Adrian, was the perfect fit for our group of five. His blend of patience, easygoing guidance, and sharp one-liner jokes made every day on the trail more enjoyable. As the trip progressed, we cam to appreciate not only his quiet sense of humor but his musical talent. Adrian's relaxed yet attentive approach created the perfect atmosphere for our adventure, making the journey feel both fun and well- supported

I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an active, scenic getaway. Whether you're a serious cyclist or just someone who appreciated nature, the Cabot Trail with Freewheeling Adventures is an experience not to be missed.

My husband and i had an amazing adventure with Freewheeling this summer on the Viking Trail. The guides were great! The cycling was beautiful. The equipment was excellent.

When we got stranded in a storm at the lighthouse an extra night, they kept us entertained and assured our safety. They were flexible and resourceful when our itinerary changed and assured the rest of the week would continue to be amazing! We loved the company and had so much fun, we instantly signed up for another trip next summer.

We took our first trip with Freewheeling Adventures last week and it was a delight from our first inquiry to our bittersweet departure. The tour was extremely well-organized and all of our questions and concerns were addressed promptly. We had never been on a group tour of this sort, and were concerned about our ability to handle the distances and challenges of the Cabot Trail. Our guides removed all anxiety immediately; we felt supported and comfortable. Each leg of the journey was carefully planned with rest stops, fabulous lunch and snack breaks, and exceptional accommodations. Our guides were well-acquainted with the area and provided wonderful information and recommendations for sites and activities of interest. Our guides were also very skilled with group dynamics; everyone in our group felt welcomed and included-regardless of skill level. The warmth and professionalism of everyone involved in Freewheeling Adventures; the guides, the planners, those who care for the bikes, those who bake the snacks, and the wonderful people who respond immediately to email inquiries, made this trip what it was-fabulous! We look forward to traveling with them again.

Found these guys online and said not much more to them than "we're 6 guys, we love to ride, and we're thinking about a trip to Iceland for a week or so". From there, we got options, calls, dates, and terrific advice. Everything was taken care of: meals, hotels, bikes, routes...and our guide was super helpful and felt like a friend by the end of our week. We loved the adventure, and I'd book with Freewheeling again with no hesitation; wouldn't even look at any other option.
