If you have the chance, DEFINITELY TAKE A DEEP SEA FISHING TOUR with Peggy's Cove Boat Tours. Our captain Gary and First Mate Abby were exceptional. The first line in the water had 3 mackeral on within seconds and we kept reeling them in. Cod and Haddock too. Abby was amazing with our youngest son. ❤️. The kids are still talking about this adventure. The boat was clean, well maintained. The fishing gear was also well maintained and rigged perfectly. They even cleaned and bagged out fish and we enjoyed 2 lovely dinners of cod. Thank you so much for an awesome time.

Captain Gary Burchell is Awesome, very knowledgeable. If asked he will clean the fish that others caught while out on the fishing tour. We had great photos taken out of the Peggy's cove lighthouse. The 1 hour tours go into west dover cove . Seals are usually on the rocks or in the water.

Beautiful scenery and the puffins were adorable. Unfortunately there were only a couple of seals to be seen. Found out later that 2 large sharks had been pinged in the area in the same 24hr window, meaning the seals were likely in hiding. Also no whales or dolphins. No fault of the crew or captain but made for a bland excursion only seeing birds.
If you are an avid birder this is an excellent choice so see numerous species seabirds.

Booked an 8:00 am fishing trip which was confirmed two days prior. This was a rescheduled trip because the trip two days prior was cancelled due to wind. Our group of 4 arrived 15 minutes before departure time along with another group of 3 guests. None of the 7 guests received any notice. I started calling them at 8:00 am and emailed at 8:12am. At 8:14 am I received an automated email that the trip has been canceled. This is a common trend in the lowest reviews. Sounds like a nice guy from locals we have spoke to but in many cases is unreliable. There is another fishing charter in nearby Lunenburg with much better reviews. This is the review to sway your decision if you want reliable service.

Fabulous experience! We had a blast, caught a variety and learned some new ways to fish. Garry the captain and Abby the expert fisher were great teachers and guides. It was cool at first but soon warmed up with all the action. Everything was provided. Our group all caught a number of fish and had some good fights. We kept four beautiful fish and sent about 40 or 50 back. We'd highly recommend this experience. A big thank you to the crew!

Very unreliable. Read the negative reviews closely and recommend using a better service that properly communicates and shows up. Cancelled on us a few days before due to weather, so we rebooked. Showed up 15 minutes before the time and another group was waiting as well. Half hour later after phoning and emailing to see where they are, one of the 7 group members received a cancelation email with no explanation. Very unfortunate cause we would have just booked with another company if we had more notice.
