The hotel staff is friendly and professional. This hotel is very clean and has decent amenities. DO NOT STAY IN KING SUITE 207 IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP THOUGH!!!

All you can hear until midnight and from 6am forward is someone opening and closing drawers down below us on the main floor. It was so loud it sounded like someone moving a desk half the night back and forth across the room..

Im an avid traveler but sadly I don't think I'll be back to this location due to this alone. A very long trip on minimal sleep isn't overly safe.

This hotel had everything we needed. The pool was warm,’opened super early which we loved for little guys. Beds were comfortable. Loved that breakfast was included and they had a good selection. We liked the waffle maker! There was fruit, muffins, yogurt, a few pastries plus eggs and sausage. The had a cute picture backdrop in the lobby that said “sylvan summer” with leaves and neon lights. Rooms were also quiet. The room had ac but it still felt a bit warm in the night. We would definitely stay here again!

The family room was great for us as a larger family. The pool and slide were winners for the kids and the hot tub was dialed in for us adults. The only minus is that the included breakfast is more to the waffles, breads, and cereals, no proteins or hot entrees. It can get very busy here as it is very popular with families.

The location is awesome, you are literally a block from anything you need. All the stores and food services are around you.

Very good experience here. We stayed in room 322, with 2 queen beds. Decent cleanliness, and the beds were relatively comfortable. The pool, and slide were very fun to use, during the morning. Whirlpool was super relaxing, especially after long days. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly, and helpful, when we had requests. A few things to maybe improve on. Our room had a leaky toilet, and the windows weren’t the cleanest. Could see a handprint smear on the glass, was very visible to see at night. Also the pool should have a designated adult swim time at night. Sometimes it got loud inside there with kids screaming, and misbehaving. Last thing is that they should have hot breakfast items, in the buffet, during the week. Options were a bit limited, when it came to eating breakfast. Other than that, good experience, and would definitely stay here again, if my travels bring me back to Sylvan Lake.

Booked four nights in a family room and there are two chairs which are broken. Tv broken first night. Second night no signal so no TV again. Lamp in room is broken. Breakfast was only cold items , no name products and iced tea and lemonade drink choices. When we asked why there were no hot breakfast items were told that they don’t have enough staff so only on weekends but no discount on room. They had waffle machines but no waffle mix in either of the machines. This place reeks of a dying hotel due to cheap owners.

Our family stayed here last weekend and i can’t call this stay positive at all. Breakfast room in the morning is packed, tons of people, mostly kids hockey players who runs there and back to grab food multiple times. Don’t think they charge them all for the multiple lunch packing. Also the breakfast selection is very poor. They cut one muffin or tiny bun into 4-5 slices. Pool area is overcrowded and loud, not enough towels. Slide is filthy, seems like they clean it once per month max. Our room was dark and furniture is old, not worthy paying 200$ for a night when you can stay in more luxurious or at least newer and cleaner place for almost twice less price in Calgary (we stayed in a way better hotel for just 140$ total few days ago). And come on, 200$ per night? Is it Vancouver or Toronto? The place itself is loud, all those hockey teens running around hotel till late night, while their parents are partying in rooms and even hallways! and the ignorant reception lady didn’t care about our complains at all, just hid from us. DON’T recommend for a quiet family stay!

We are really disappointed with this hotel. We called in one before our reservation to transfer us to pet friendly room family room but unfortunately there were no available pet friendly room available which I totally understand. So lady on phone named Joanna (manager) left a voicemail to me and confirm that she’s transferring us to two separate rooms which pet friendly which definitely okay with us.|Chat message through Expedia as well that she said that she is transferring us to 2 queen bedroom (2 queen bed each).|Checking in - we only got one room with two queen bed. She said she talked to someone and confirm this but not contacted me (reservation under my name) - all changes should have been relayed to me as reservation is under my name.|And bringing my concerns and queries to her. She is very rude and arrogant. She handles the situation unprofessionally. It doesn’t seem that I am talking to manager who supposed to resolve the issues and offer resolutions.

Used this as a stopover while doing some bike packing through the area.., it was absolutely wonderful to pamper myself for the night, enjoy a soothing hot tub... and go for a swim and get some laundry done. Great food nearby 😋
