Notre séjour a été incroyable. Tout était parfait. Magnifique endroit à faire rêver. C'était très propre, le lit très confortable et literie de qualités. Et quoi dire des délicieux déjeuner cuisinés avec amour par notre hôte Eva. L'endroit est situé juste à côté d'un parc national et d'un site historique où l'on peut aller marcher en nature. Une belle découverte. Nous avons hâte de revenir. Merci pour votre générosité.

Star of the Sea is a beautifully restored old Catholic Church that now is a gorgeous B&B with equally lovely hosts Eva and Tom. The rooms are quintessential coastal decor. 2 two of which have harbor views of the lighthouse and common sightings are sailboats and cruise ships going by and beautiful sunrises in the morning! Breakfast served daily to your door which is great if you like your privacy however there is no communal dining for breakfast together if you are weird like our group and enjoy that! Location was great as a starting point to visit Halifax or Peggy’s Cove or the vineyards north of the B&B, an easy 1 Hour drive!

Simply AMAZING - the views of ocean & relaxation factor could not get any better. Calming atmoshpere from minute you entered. Only three suites allows you to feel as if you have place to yourself. Views from two decks, with outdoor furniture, are simply breathtaking as you felt the ocean breezes. Sailboats & cruise ships were seen daily. Spacious rooms; large comfortable bed, with sitting areas + breakfast bar. Bathrobes & pool towels provided . Delicious homemade breakfasts delivered to your room were wonderful to wake up to. Hosts, Eva & Tom, were gracious; very helpful in suggestions of what to experience-- Wine country, Bay of Fundy, Halifax etc.. Every detail in comfort & decor were well thought out & waiting for your visit. We travel to boutique B&Bs a lot; this is a hidden gem. The beauty & relaxation of Star of the Sea B&B is 10 Stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Nothing short of AMAZING!! Ocean views from the two decks were spectacular. From the minute you walk in, relaxation took over. Only 3 suites; spacious rooms w/ ocean breezes&views; prue comfort. Hosts so friendly; delicious breakfasts.

Tom and Eva were great host. We really enjoyed the breakfast, room, view and hospitality they offered at a very reasonable price. Connie and I'd only disappointment was that we could not stay longer.

Ein wunderschönes B&B direkt am Meer in der Nähe von Halifax. Wir haben vier Nächte im Star of the Sea verbracht. Eva und Tom sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Das B&B und ihre Zimmer sind einfach traumhaft schön. Wir bekamen unser Frühstück jeden Tag aufs Zimmer gebracht. Auch das war einfach hervorragend. Von unserem Fenster konnten wir beim Frühstück aufs Meer schauen oder auf der super gemütliche Dachterrasse. Auch der Pool mit seiner Terrasse lädt zum Entspannen ein. Vielen Dank nochmals an Eva und Tom.

Tom and Eva are very warm hosts without being micro managing. You feel right at home. The rooms and the views are amazing. The included breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable.Would definitely go back. Un petit bijou !

Star of the Sea B&B is a dreamer's retreat, beautifully designed and wonderfully cozy. Eva & Tom are amazing hosts who have put a lot of work into their business. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in the "Northwest Arm" suite, with the MOST comfortable king bed ever. Gorgeous views of the ocean from our little reading nook. The guest areas include an upper patio, and a heated pool. We tried as many of the breakfasts as we could (yogurt parfait, German breakfast, waffles, over easy eggs & bacon) and ALL were delicious. The location is a bit of a drive (about 20 min) to downtown Halifax, but we chose this place for that reason. It is an idyllic retreat away from the loud hustle & bustle of the city. We hope to be back again in the future.
