This year we thought we'd try an Alberta staycation, and booked at the perfect time - it was still warm out, leaves were changing and LOTS of wildlife to see. This place is everything it states on their website, and more. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Super SUPER clean - everywhere. We stayed in the blue room, super spacious, cozy. There is a shared kitchen (with dishes, cups, glasses, cutlery etc) / living room area with tea kettle, microwave and a small fridge. We brought our own books / games but there was LOTS there to pick from. Every morning we were treated downstairs to world class, healthy, local (including veggies from their own garden) cooking and pressed coffee and juice. She makes the BEST homemade yogurt (and i'm NOT a fan of plain but this stuff is not sour and like pudding - yummo - had it every day with fresh fruit or some delicious thing she whipped up). Breakfast also included a wonderful visit with their doggos - Lilly and Murphy (who is a new addition and was still leery of us but as a rescue = understandable, he barked sometimes when the hosts were out, but was never aggressive) - they are not allowed upstairs. Met 2 nice couples. As i mentioned - this was a staycation... so after filling up on food we would head off to some cool place in a nearby town. It was as close as 5 min or no more than 1/2 hr to tonnes of amazing things to see / do. Check out my other reviews of the restaurants we visited and we went gliding!

This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and I can safely say that the hosts made it an exceptional experience. The house was very clean and welcoming, the room was spacious and comfortable (we stayed in the blue room). Travis and Sarah were very nice and friendly hosts, they made a delicious breakfast, and we loved chatting with them in the mornings. They have a great selection of books upstairs. They had a bunch of knowledge and suggestions on the surrounding areas. Overall, it was an amazing experience and we'll be coming back! Thank you so much!

The BEST Bed and Breakfast we've stayed, 5-stars all around. It's a home away from home. Sarah truly is a next level host with excellent local knowledge and goes above and beyond to give guests a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great location with close proximity to the mountains and a couple craft breweries. We brought our snowshoes and did some hiking in the area, so relaxing. The room was warm, cozy and quite. Very happy they were pet friendly, we were able to bring our very senior pupper with us. They had great coffee and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, fresh fruit with roasted potatoes with eggs, and fresh baked scones were to die for! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
We look forward to returning in the summer!

This was such an enjoyable experience. My husband and I stayed in the yellow room and it was beautifully decorated, it even had a cute little rocking chair and a shelf full of books if you didn't bring one of your own. The bed was soft, but firm enough not to eat you alive.
The deck has a beautiful view of the mountains, and the common area is very comfortable for sitting around and reading or playing games.
The breakfast was delicious, we had a vegetarian breakfast with homemade strawberry apple sauce, coconut rice pudding, homemade yogurt, and that was all before the fantastic frittata! It was all wonderful food and we both left with very full bellies.
Our hosts were lovely, friendly and cheerful. We had a nice conversation over breakfast but they seemed content to leave us be if we had preferred it.
Honestly they are under charging for how wonderful the experience was, I would gladly come out to Turner Valley again *just* to stay at their lovely house.

My mom and I stayed at The Windflower for 2 nights, while exploring the beautiful Turner Valley area. Sarah and Travis are fantastic, friendly hosts. We enjoyed great conversations with a delicious garden to table homemade breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable and peaceful, the upstairs area is set aside for guests. We enjoyed the views and garden on the beautiful decks, so relaxing the afternoon. Sarah taught us a new craft, in the well stocked craft room, a great space for a group ! Sarah and Travis had great tips on area shopping and restaurants, made our time in the area very enjoyable! Have to mention Lily and Morley, always close by for a friendly pet. A wonderful find, I will definitely return! Thanks again!

This is a great getaway in the foothills just east of the Kananaskis Country gates. Our hosts were a real pleasure to visit with, and their property included a forested area with a small creek where we saw some wild life. The room we had was clean, comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was amazing with many of the ingredients coming right out of their garden. I highly recommend this B&B, but make your reservation early, as it is very popular.

We were greeted by two wonderful hosts who made us feel welcome and relaxed in their home. The green room was quiet, with a wonderful view of the stars and the tranquility of flowing water from the fountains in the back of the house. We enjoyed a much needed good night sleep, not to mention the fabulous home made breakfast after a tiring trek through the mountains of Jasper and Lake Louise. Our trip would not have been complete without exploring the southern Alberta beauty through the scenic foothills on horseback as suggested by Travis! I wished we had stayed another night. We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay in this tranquil, peaceful wilderness setting. We were treated to wonderful hospitality by our hosts and they were so accommodating to our family's needs. The children enjoyed roasting marshmallows on their fireplace. Our rooms were spacious and inviting. The two course breakfast was presented beautifully complete with home made jams, yoghurt, sourdough toast and baking. Thank you much for making our Canadian country stay so perfect.
