What a great find on our way back to Digby from Sandy Cove beach. Large orders of seafood and homemade French fries. We have been traveling Nova Scotia for a few days and this was the best fish and chips we’ve had!! Friendly service with the husband cooking and the wife serving.

John and Andrea Hakim are the perfect hosts of this motel and restaurant combo. The haddock fillets that John uses for the two piece meal is the largest portion size of anywhere I have been...and I love my fish n chips! Ask John for a plate of his seared scallops...I have truly never tasted anything so good!! Make sure that you save room for their homemade pies. John makes amazing chocolate and coconut cream pies, and Andrea's wild blueberry pie is scrumptious!! Next time you are in the area stop by...I know that I will:)

This place has the absolute best donairs you can find anywhere. They make and cut their own meat fresh every day and you can definitely tell. Excellent service for both eat-in or take-out. The fish and chips is also an amazing deal. They don’t let you leave here hungry.

We stay here for a week during the annual wharf rat rally , the owner/operators, John and Andrea are absolutely awesome and pleasant to deal with and the food is easily some of the best in Digby. The rooms offer comfortable lodging with clean beds and great showers. Can't wait until next year!!

My dad stays here a lot and always gets me a room when i get a chance to go to Digby for a visit which is never enough. I travel for a living and live out of a suitcase 4 or 5 star hotels but I enjoy my stays at Scotia Bay Motel, the owners are so lovely, the rooms are clean I always feel so welcome. In Texas where it is blooming hot and humid to go to bed with the window open and enjoy the sea breeze is heaven to me. This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel but it has a lot of character and charm. Next year I am coming back for a stay and hopefully bring friends and family, because once they eat at the restaurant they will never want to leave.

The best fish & chips you can get, the chocalate pie is excellent too. It is a seasonal restaurant closes in late October and reopens in June . Can't wait till next year to go back . Just had a great supper there last night with friends.

Stayed one night on our tour of NS. Quiet and comfy night. Make sure you arrive in time for dinner (4 -8 p.m.) go early as they only serve "fresh", absolute best fish, scallops and chips and very generous portions, you won't be disappointed

Units are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Not Five Star, but prices are well below others in the area that are not and considerably more expensive. (Learned from experience.) Owners on site. Plenty of hot water! Save your money and get to see more of this beautiful province. Side trip to Le Cuisine de Robichaud in Saulnierville a must, especially Thursday night. Suggest reservations well in advance.
