Authentic old tavern, with Lots of history! Great food at a reasonable price. Lots of beverages to choose from. Tonight was Guinness and cinnamon white Russian. She loved the Russian and Guinness was perfect. Lamb burger delicious, as was roast beef Yorkie. Highly recommend stopping by. 🍻

Beautiful place. We stopped here after doing a few hikes close by, so glad we did. The resturant had a fantastic vibe and extremely friendly staff. Even without a reservation they were able to seat us quite quickly. They had a great selection of beers on tap. The menu was a perfect size with many different options. We got a burger, poutine and chicken wings, all cooked to perfection. Thank you to the staff at coach and lantern for a very enjoyable meal.

DM sent to the Coach & Lantern: We attended last night for some drinks and love music. We wanted to share that it was incredible! The band and jam session with various special guests was fantastic. You could feel the family and legacy. Also, Taylor - her cover of Chappell Roan #epic. We’ve never been to Ancaster before and this made it 🔥🔥. Please send our best to the band and all of the talent - the multiple generations of them. We had a great time.

What a cool little pub.
We had never been here before, but our guest had and thought we would like it. 
It has all of the charm and decor of a beautiful British pub. The restaurant is located in the back of the historic beauty of the Ancaster area building. It is very unassuming and it was a great surprise to ‘discover’ it. We walked in through the outdoor patio - but since it wasn’t open we can only assume the patio would be a gorgeous place to enjoy dinner.

We ordered Beef Dip Sandwich, Salmon Tacos, and Chicken Stir Fry.
The food was fantastic. I loved the beef sandwich; the stir fry & fish tacos were enjoyed by others as well.

Our waitress was very friendly and spicy - which we loved. She had an edge that you’d expect (and hope for ) from a cool British pub. We had a great time with her as our server.

This restaurant is very cool, and I cant wait to go back. (maybe eat on the patio?)

Three of us stopped in for a late lunch. I had been here a lot when I was younger, but mostly got drinks.

The ambience hasn’t changed, it even seemed warmer. The beer was cold and the lunch was hot. We ordered Traditional Fish and Chips, Roast Beef Stuffed Yorkie and I had a Coach Burger.

All orders came in a timely fashion, hot and tasty. Although I’ve never had dinner here, I would recommend it for lunch.

Had a fantastic experience at the Coach and Lantern in Ancaster last night.
4 of us attended for my cousins birthday - 2 adults and 2 kids. I had our ha d a small tarte for my cousins birthday to celebrate, and the resto had no problem allowing me to bring it in. They even stored it in the fridge for me while we ate dinner, served it to her, and included a candle! Further, they provided our boys with extra ice cream for dessert as the tarte was small so everyone only got about one bite.
The food quality here is always amazing (best ceasar salad around) and last night highlighted the impeccable service. Cudos to the excellent staff at this local pub.
