What an amazing place! Super clean and modern with a lovely aesthetic (no wonder considering who the awesome owners are)! The staff is super nice and welcoming. We came in very late at night from New Brunswick and they had everything ready for us so we could comfortably go to sleep. Our first day started off with a fabulous brunch that they serve on weekends-you’ll love the breakfast selection that’s available all the way until the afternoon for those who like to sleep in. Looking forward to the rest of our stay here and would definitely come back!!

Our stay at the North Star Beach Suites was nothing short of spectacular, especially in Suite 11, where we were thrilled to learn that Stephen King himself recently stayed during a film shoot. The suite felt like a spacious, luxurious apartment with all the comforts of home. The kitchen, complete with a stove, microwave, fridge, and dishware, was perfect for preparing small meals. The bathroom was a highlight, featuring a jacuzzi tub and a fantastic shower with excellent water pressure, and plenty of plush towels—plus, the toilet paper was high quality, a small detail that made a big difference!

The room itself was beautifully designed, featuring two queen beds and a TV that greeted us with soothing music upon arrival. The heat pump in the large living room kept the suite perfectly cool, a welcome reprieve after a day of exploring.

The real magic, though, was the view. From the breakfast nook and patio terrace, we were treated to breathtaking ocean vistas, including a clear sight of the historic Fortress of Louisbourg. Sipping the provided coffee while soaking in this scenery was a true highlight of our stay.

Owners Colin and Justin were the epitome of hospitality. Their charming Scottish accents and warm personalities added a personal touch to our experience, making us feel more like guests in their home than customers at a hotel.

The on-site restaurant, which we reviewed separately, exceeded our expectations and added to the overall excellence of our stay. If you’re looking for a blend of comfort, luxury, and a touch of history, the North Star Beach Suites is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

This was the most amazing stay I've ever had! Not only was the view and the private beach perfection, but every detail of the rooms and the rest of the facilities were designed to PERFECTION! So much attention to detail and thoughtfulness definitely went into making this space a perfect oasis for all guests! Justin & Colin were the most lovely hosts you could dream of, they struck up so many lovely and genuine conversations with all of the guests. The restaurant was phenomenal and going on a night with live music was spectacular! Book your restaurant reservations now because it is a packed house that you don't want to miss! So lively & relaxing at the same time. We can't wait to come back all the way from Toronto just to stay with Colin & Justin again next summer season. Xoxo Virginia and Christine.

Fantastic location great water views. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Lovely large rooms with meticulously decorated. Didn’t notice any WiFi but with the views who needed it. Owned and graciously hosted by Colin and Justin of HGTV fame, you certainly can see it in the lovely appointments. One suggestion, curtains unless you are an early riser as the blinds don’t block the light. Absolutely fantastic property and location

Picturesque location, beautiful view of the Louisbourg Fortress, amazing bar and lovely restaurant. Our unit offered a beautifully outfitted kitchenette and 2 queen beds. The bathroom was outdated, cottage-like and needs a major upgrade. The staff were amazing! Thanks to Julie, Bonnie and Sandra for their exceptional customer service, warm hospitality and thoughtfulness.

Ron & I were very impressed with the quality of this resort . Colin & Justin & staff are amazing and impeccable in their work . It shows from the minute you walk in the front door! The food was delicious & served beautifully. The rooms are beautiful and modern & the Bothy restaurant is breathtaking.( so very comfortable & cozy) ! You feel like you are in their own private home & yes they look after service too! It is humbling to see two very successful people connecting with everyone who comes through their front door . Great place to stay if you are visiting Louisburg. Close to the fort entrance. Nice little beach to enjoy. Great food at the restaurant (order a starter though). If you like Caesar's, be sure to order one! Justin and Colin and their amazing staff will make your stay very memorable! If I'm back this way again, I'm staying here!
