I had a terrible experience at Mastermind Toys recently due to unprofessional behavior from one of the employees named Chloe. I went in to use a $10 gift card, which they refused to accept for claiming it was “too old” and mastermind toys apparently changed ownership and she belittled me for not following the news. When I tried to explain, Chloe was disrespectful and dismissive, showing no willingness to help or listen. The customer service was shockingly poor, and I left feeling frustrated and unvalued as a customer. I expected much better from a store that prides itself on being family-friendly.

I had the most wonderful experience at Mastermind Toys (Ancaster). All the staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable. Chris is always very helpful and has the coolest blue lanyard. He is very polite and goes above and beyond to help customers find exactly what they're looking for 🙂 The store itself is always very clean and well merchandised. And their gift wrapping is always neat and beautiful. This COMPLEMENTARY service is such a life saver for last minute gift shopping.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! If I could give a zero star review, I would. The manager at this location, Chris, has no business interacting with the public. My son and I went into the store this past Saturday and were treated so incredibly poorly by him that my 7 year old son was actually scared to walk by the store and back to our car after we went to shop at Party City. Even after Chris' initial rude comment about us 'only having a couple minutes to shop' (along with additional rude and unnecessary commentary), I was still going to let my very excited son pick something out however; Chris continued to vent OUT LOUD about us having no respect for him 'as the manager' because, if we had any, we wouldn't have come into the store so late; keeping in mind the store closes at 6pm and we walked in at 5:50pm. It got so bad that I ended up telling my son that we were leaving and would just go to Party City so he could get something. Chris continued to be rude and ignorant as we left. Not the kind of treatment you expect from any establishment and, certainly not a CHILDREN'S TOY STORE!! Shame on you, Mastermind Toys!

I was looking for a kids' cookbook. I know this place usually has shelves full of books but this timenista all toys. I asked the sales rep. Where all the books goes and she said different ownership.

Great location with lots of parking spots.

Staff are really friendly and amazing at the customer service.
The staff are very knowledgeable about the products.

Lots of inventory for kids toys with latest updated versions of toys .

Pokémon cards , fluffy toys , puzzles , art books ,
Scooters, kids chairs , foozball table , collectibles . Etc

Perfect for kids to be amazed by toys , prices are reasonable.🤔

Very disappointed and angry with the staff and the company. My son was ready to spend his birthday gift card and we found out they couldn't honor it. I never received a notification about this (though I'm a member and receive emails) and my kids was shattered. The was very rude about it too, they should be ashamed of themselves. Never shopping there again.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Ancaster store. I went there with a gift card that had a remaining balance of $75, only to be told they could no longer honor it because the store was now owned by a different company. When I pointed out that the store still operates under the same name, they confirmed this but insisted they couldn’t accept the card.

What frustrated me the most was the lack of effort to address the issue. No one attempted to escalate the matter or contact a manager to find a solution. As a customer, I felt completely dismissed and denied the right to use the balance on my card.

This level of customer service is unacceptable, and I would appreciate it if this matter could be addressed properly. The name of the manager their is Chris
