Nice easy walking trail. There are a couple of options for length and loops. Well maintained.

Went for the first time on a cold January day after some fresh snow. Didn't take snow shoes but they would have been handy to help pack the trail. The trail is pretty well marked so we were able to easily find the trails that hadn't been used yet. There is a nice spot with a bench to watch birds at the feeders. Will definitely go again.

Great Nature Preserve To Go Through There's A Couple Of Nice Scenic View And Sights Depnding On Which Route You Decide To Take. There's Benches To Sit On Along Throughout. There's a Bird Watching Spot With Feeders And A Look Out Tower Across The Marsh. Both Places Are Great For Birdwatching.

Came here in the winter and it was amazing. The trail was easy to walk on and not icy. The scenery was gorgeous and it wasn’t busy at all really felt like you were in a secluded forest. There are so many neat things and side trails to walk on as well. I can’t wait to come back in the summer

Lovely nature trail with boardwalks and a few benches. You can get away from the city in a few minutes, it's great. There are a few loops, one of which goes past an old Lyme Kiln.
I'd rate the difficulty between medium and medium-light. The trails are well maintained but are not flat. There are rocks and roots so you should watch your step. There are a few small hills that you will go up and down and a few boardwalks that cross marshy areas. Overall, a very nice trail.

I walked this trail in Sept 2022. I was gorgeous and also has special significance for me as it was my great great Uncle Charles Macnamara that it is named after. I didn't know him personally but my grandmother was very influenced by him and passed on much of his love of nature to me. A wonderful trail well maintained and some fabulous moss and lichen had never seen before
