These outfitters are fabulous!!! Whether you need to rent a canoe or want a full expedition, they can accommodate you. Quality gear, courteous staff, hot showers and cold beer at the end of your trip. We will definitely use them again for our needs.

We have used Canoe Canada many times for almost forty years and will be there again this summer. Their Quetico canoe trip outfitting is outstanding. In recent years we have been using the fly-in outpost cabins on several different lakes for great walleye, smallmouth and pike fishing. Use Canoe Canada for the best customer service, equipment and fishing opportunities.

Great experience! They were able to accommodate some last minute plans going in to Quetico and then also coming out a day early. Super nice. Will be using them again in the future for Quetico and fly-ins to their cabins.

My first fishing trip to Canada, it was amazing with Canoe Canada. Canoe was clean and stable, outfitter cabin was very clean and of course hot water for shower(gotta love it).

Don't trust them. A trip was planned and a considerable deposit was paid. Due to the border closure during Covid the trip was cancelled. No refund issued, which I fully understand (It was out of Canoe Canada's control and out of our control). Instead, they gave our party a credit for the deposit to use on our next trip. Fair enough.

After finally finding a time for all in our party to be able to go, we tried to book the trip. They will no longer honor the credit. They did not keep their word. The money is gone.

This group had been using Canoe Canada for many years - I joined the group for their last two trips. I don't know what changed at Canoe Canada - it was a great outfitter.

Learn from our mistake and choose a different outfitter.

Just returned from an 8-day solo trip with my young dog through the Stanton Bay entry using a canoe and some gear rented through CC, as well as using the "bunk House" option the night before starting.
Had a great trip and have nothing but rave comments about working with the CC staff. Extremely helpful on route suggestions and handling permits and licenses. Bunkhouse is a sweet perk, particularly given the limited lodging options in Atikoken.
My only minor "negative", was not about CC, but about my dumb own decision to convert a Quetico 16' tandem I rented from CC into a solo by removing the stern seat and using the bow seat to paddle backwards. The canoe was extremely stable, even in some good sized waves on Pickerel Lake, and easy enough to portage, but it was VERY slow as compared to true solo canoe options, including CC's Souris River solo. It really was tough to handle in cross winds...needed every bit of weight possible as far forward as possible, including a big rock in front several days, to offset the combined weight of my dog (60 lbs and me 155 lbs.) in the back.
Love the Quetico so mucy more than the BWCA, which, sadly, has gotten too busy. One other non-CC comment: when fishing, Please crimp your barbs and do not use giant lures with 2 sets of treble hooks. I came across 4 dead/dying fish with mangled mouths. God knows how many more occured where the eagles or otters ate them before I paddled by. Really saddened me to see such poor fishing manners.

Fantastic experience with Canoe Canada. Picked up our canoes and opted for the shuttle service, which was prompt and very helpful. Our second day out, I had a medical issue and needed to be transported out into town. They met us right on time, let us stay in their cabin that night, and had us back out first thing the next day! Incredibly accommodating and helpful crew, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Ill be back without question!
