This cottage resort is by far the best cottage resort in the Kawarthas. Me and my family went here for 4 nights in August 2024 and we enjoyed every part of it. It’s also very dog friendly and welcoming that our dog loves it here. They have an outdoor pool and a massive indoor pool that leads to the smaller outdoor pool. I would also highly recommend doing wine tasting and tubing with the owner/ property manager. Their restaurant is also fantastic and irresistible complimented with chef-cooked meals. I would return again next summer. I highly recommend this cottage resort to anyone with a family and a dog for summer cottaging. I love it!

We were here for the Golden Rescue picnic… Check in was hassle free and a breeze. The Hilltop room was spacious with a cozy feel, clean and beds were comfortable. Coffee on the deck off our room in the morning was a lovely added bonus. The food at the dining room was spectacular and the views were breathtaking from every seat. Breakfast on the patio in the morning was also another glorious treat! Walking the grounds, beaches and trails was truly serene.|Thank you to the staff who were friendly and very accommodating, they went above and beyond. |We have already booked for next year 😊

Friendliest resort that makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in the front door. Absolutely stunning scenery overlooking Ston(e)y lake. ||Hiking, swimming, sauna, kayaking, games and an amazing outdoor stone fireplace.||The staff were also incredible! Always so helpful and went above and beyond.||Thank you for a memorable getaway.

Went here with a few girlfriends for a little getaway.. we loved it. The room was clean, the staff were all excellent, the food was amazing..the activities were fun (tubing!) and the hiking was just so beautiful! The nightly campfires and s'mores were a great touch. I got everything off my bucket list except for the fishing - 6am was too early for me on vacation :)|A personal thank you to Ben who took time out of his busy day to come and help myself and my friend..we were stranded on a local residents dock and couldnt make our way back to the resort. So again, thank you!! They really go above and beyond at this resort. We will definitely be back.

Viamede is the perfect place for a family vacation. We were there with a 5 yr old and and a 2 yr old and six adults. There was so much for them and us to do - guided walks, visiting the pigs and turkeys, canoeing, swimming in the indoor/outdoor pool. The staff is so accommodating and friendly. There were "vintage" board games, craft and movie time for the kids, trivia for the adults. It just seemed that there were so many "little things" that were part of the experience - like ice cream served every afternoon. Since there were too many people to fit into one cottage, we had to split up. The three bedroom cottage was lovely, just a couple of steps to a playground, a few more to the beach and a 1 minute walk to the pool. Two of us stayed in a hotel room in the main building. I will say that it was a bit dated but we were only there to sleep anyway - we spent the whole day just having fun. We did have a bathtub with jets so that was just one more thing to amuse the little ones. Price wise, I would say that with all the extra amenities, it was well worth it. I would go back in a heartbeat.

This is an amazing resort with a very friend team who cares about your stay. Ben the owner personally takes people out for boat cruises and early fishing excursions on Stoney lake. He is very knowledgeable and welcoming. He took time to teach us how to cast and hook up lures. The resort is very well thought out with many facilities like an outdoor and indoor pool, fitness center and biking. They have a farm and dog park on site. We see many people at the outdoor fire pit, doing kayak/canoe and kids playing on a sandy play area. There are 2 docks for shore fishing. They even have breakfast included, wine tasting and kids movie nights. Our cottage has 2 full washrooms and a bbq. The cottages are 2 years new and has a nice porch too. We had a great stay and will look forward to coming back in the future.

Having owned a cottage on Stoney Lake for 30 years, we truly believe that it is one of the most beautiful areas in the Kawarthas.|Viamede showcases the beautiful vista's of the lake & provides several options for a perfect stay. The new cottages are clean & comfortable with screened in porches for extra space. Being able to cook &/or BBQ your own meals helps keep costs down. A great selection of water toys & swimming options. Staff are friendly & helpful.|Highly recommend for a comfortable & relaxed vacation for guests of all ages.

Barb and I love to visit Viamede, |The staff is supper friendly and helpful. Our Gog Mya loves the grounds and her visit to the Farm.
