The Wickwire House is an absolutely lovely locale where Victorian charm meets modern amenities. We received a warm welcome and felt that if we needed anything, assistance was nearby.

Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and included thoughtful touches like robes, curtain clips to block out the sun, and an extension cord by the bed that you could easily charge your phone with.

From an accessibility standpoint: The stairs in the house are a bit steep and the beds are VERY firm. I never asked for a mattress topper or anything though, so I am sure they would've done their best to support/accommodate me, if I asked!

Breakfast was also included and it was fresh and delicious! Would definitely stay here again--and maybe try out a Carriage House room next time for comparison.

My partner and I stayed here last summer. Our room was nice. The caretaker, Larry, met us and was courteous at first. However, after not very long, exchanges with him became uncomfortable. He showed us our room, all the while talking to us about his personal life/issues and all the work he does around the inn. He complained a lot about how much work he had to do, and shared far too much personal information. (If I had not been with my partner I would have been even more uncomfortable.) He told us a story about his dog that was uninvited and graphic. Breakfast was "strawberry pancakes" (he bragged for some time how wonderful his pancakes were) and they were the worst pancakes I've ever seen--mush, hardly cooked at all. The small fruit cup was canned fruit and was acceptable. At one point, the caretaker actually sat at our breakfast table to continue talking to us. Very uncomfortable. We barely ate any of our breakfast. Cleanliness of the general space was okay at best.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay! The owner, Ghislaine gave us a history and tour of the house and was also very helpful with tips for shopping and sightseeing around Kentville. She was interesting and pleasant to talk with. Larry, her caretaker, cooked us a wonderful 2 course breakfast at exactly the time requested each morning that was filling and delicious! Covid rules were strictly adhered to which made us feel safe during these trying times. The beds were comfy and the house was beautiful!

Last minute, couldn't find any hotels/motels and came across this gem. Beautiful Victorian home, with a large deck/gazebo, lots of seating, perfect place to have a cup of tea. 3 of us stayed for one night, very comfortable king size bed and sofa bed with ensuite. Very clean and the manager, Larry couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and well presented. Thank you Larry for everything. We will definitely be back!!!!

Drove in early afternoon for a wedding with my husband and was immediately greeted by the hostess, she was very knowledgeable about the valley and the history of the house itself. Decorations around the house were antique and certainly fit in with the era when the house was built and overall were interesting when we learned about the history of a few pieces. The rooms were clean and organized. I believed we stayed in the Royal room suite and it was fully equipped with an air conditioner, heating and a personal bathroom. The brekafast was catered to our food allergies and was delicious! Would certainly come back next year.

We decided to stop in Kentville at this wonderful old B&B are we're not disappointed! You are welcomed with a large veranda with lots of seating. The house is filled with antiques and is tastefully decorated. The host was informative and friendly. The inn is a short walk to the downtown area where you will find lots of eateries and pubs. We had an early departure and he was more than willing to provide us with an early breakfast! Awesome spot
