Honestly the best place to stay in town. Markus is responsive and knowledgeable. He also picks and drops people off at the airport if he can.

He can help you with organizing anything. He knows the community well as he has lived there and served as their Nurse for many years. (He also speaks German if that helps you.) When we had problems trying to get a hold of Peter to pick us up from the park (sent Markus an email via Garmin InReach), Markus called Peter for us. Peter was supposed to pick us up at Noon. We ended up being picked up at 7 pm after waiting quite a while in the cold and wind.

It was great to be able to use his laundry machine after 14 days of not being able to wash our clothes. We did a 11 day trek through the park + travel time to Qikiqtarjuaq.

It was a 5 min walk from the boat dock and a 5 minute walk to the grocery store. Very convenient location to be based from. We got lucky and even saw whales from the living room.

We were allowed to use the kitchen to cook our own meals. This is a huge win as there is only the KFC in town (if they have chicken) or maybe if you are lucky and there might be a cook at the hotel. Markus makes breakfast included in the price of the stay and they are amazing. He makes fresh bread daily.

His prices are very fair and we heard stories of mismanagement (or rather a lack of a manager) at the Hotel. We heard that the last manager got fired because she kicked out the only guest staying there. She asked him to find a different place because she didn’t want to cook, clean, do laundry for one person. So she got fired. The guests staying after (without a manager) were pretty mad that they paid an extra $100/day for food and didn’t get any because no staff was at the hotel. They came over to Markus’ place because one of their friends in the group were staying with Markus.

This is a home, so don’t expect hotel rooms. Rooms in remote places are small but we were quite happy with our single bed and separate extra mattress on the floor as we are travelling as friends. Markus lives in the building next door but does stop in frequently to make sure everything is OK.

Yes, he has 2 small dogs on leashes that stay outside. They are the most gentlest and well cared for animals.

Internet connection was great. Better than what I was getting in Iqualit. Another guest commented that Netflix actually worked on the TV in the room.

I don’t think you would regret staying here.

It was a delight staying three nights at Fjordview B&B. The host, Markus, was very hospitable and offered free pick up and drop off at airport along with the tour of Pangnirtung. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Excellent wi-fi service and hot shower. I highly recommend this B&B.

I had not planned to write a TA review. We travelled as solo tourists in Nunavut in Sept 2022 and visited such small communities as Pang, Pond Inlet, & Cape Dorset. We learned this was most unusual, people come north to work, not sight see.||I saw JB's review as I was looking up the email address for Markus, our host at the Fjordview. JB's report was NOT our experience but I do wonder why he/she was in Pang. There are no Hiltons there, not even Holiday Inns. Private accommodation is the norm and the attendant homey atmosphere of a B&B is a welcome aspect of one's stay. Later we met other travellers - workers - who had stayed with Markus.||There were no dogs IN the Fjordview, they sat outside the door either sleeping or greeting visitors and passersby. The place is small but the view is immense. A gourmet breakfast is provided (another very unusual thing in the north where a "B&B" is generally only a "B"). It is on the main road, as reported, but so are the Parks Canada office and exhibit, the weaving centre, the printmakers' shop, and the sculpture store. I guess it might be quieter elsewhere, but a much longer walk.||We tried to book dinner at the Inns North, but they had no room for random tourists without expense accounts. Markus picked up some fantastic Arctic Char which a fellow guest cooked for all of us in the quirky but well-stocked kitchen. Very well-stocked - what is red palm oil for I asked?||The north is an amazing, beautiful, scenic, scary, challenging place. The people who live there meet these challenges every day, and if you're Markus, they try to help visitors understand their concerns and needs. Stay at the Fjordview if you can. This is why we visit the Arctic.

I stayed at Markus’ Bed and Breakfast for a week over the summer. He is incredibly friendly and so much fun to talk to. The breakfast is always delicious. The beds were comfortable and he has the most amazing view of the fjord from the living room. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Pangnirtung Fjordview Bed & Breakfast for a night in late October and were not disappointed. The only other place in town is a fairly miserable little hotel for double the cost. The B&B on the other hand, while small, is clean and bright and offers a nice breakfast included in the price. Best of all, it has an amazing view of the fjord and it has Markus Wilke, the owner. Markus is a village councillor and a long-time resident of Pang, and he's a great tour guide and wealth of information. He picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and he offered to drive us around the area and filled us in on the history. He was warm and engaging and helpful - even working the phones to find someone in town to take us out on a boat on the fjord before we had to leave. Without a doubt, this is by far and away the best place to stay in town.

It was a wonderful stay at Fjordview B&B in beautiful Pangnirtung. You will feel right at home in this cute and cozy house, with an unmatched view. Markus provides a delicious breakfast every morning, and interesting conversation. His sweet dog Moritz can often be found outside the house, welcoming visitors from near and far!

This is a lovely BnB in Pangnirtung. The owner Markus is a loving and kind person. The other guests were lovely. You get access to the kitchen too cook lunch and dinner. There is Starlink WiFi and laundry. The owner sleeps in an adjacent and was an excellent host while also respecting your privacy. Would recommend if your looking for accommodations in Pang.

This place is great if you like dirt, mess, dog hair, no privacy, and an owner who won't give you any space. The rooms are tiny and airless, it's located right on a busy street so you hear every vehicle or dirt bike roaring by, the owner let his dogs in so they track in hair and dirt, it's rarely cleaned, there's no soundproofing between rooms, barely any space in the common room (especially if the BnB is over-capacity), only a tiny fridge, the stove doesn't work, and, to top it off, the owner talks to you non-stop any time you're in there. So, a great place if you're a messy extrovert but otherwise I highly recommend the hotel, which is well managed, spacious, clean, has excellent food, and is much quieter.
