I recently stayed at the Grand Tappattoo Resort, and it was an unforgettable experience. The breakfast was excellent, offering a variety of fresh and delicious options. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, but the highlight of the stay was the stunning lakeview. Waking up to the serene beauty of the lake and being surrounded by nature made for an incredibly relaxing and peaceful getaway. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a place to enjoy the outdoors, I highly recommend this resort. It’s the perfect destination for relaxation and rejuvenation!

Just returned from this gem two hours north of Toronto and can’t wait to go back. We had a standard room which was very comfortable and clean. It looked like it was freshly painted with new furniture, beds and blinds. Bed and pillows were comfy. Bathroom was a good size. Rooms with balconies overlook the lake and come with a fireplace and a/c. Beautiful warm beach with plenty sun loungers and some Muskoka chairs with umbrellas. Lots of water activities free to use such as kayaks, boats, etc.. Life jackets provided. Indoor pool was warm and clean as was the indoor sauna. There was an outdoor sauna by the beach but we never used it. Games room available, just ask for foosball and ping-pong paddles at the front desk. Free wifi throughout the resort (teenager didn’t complain). Huge parking lot. Grounds are well kept and lovely. Yes, there are geese there people, you are outdoors in nature. There was a guy there working all day and night picking up and maintaining the property. Although they don’t come around to clean your room daily, they were very accommodating with anything we needed such as exchanging towels. All staff work so hard and they were all lovely. We had a great breakfast to start our day every day which was included with our stay. We enjoyed the dining area overlooking the lake so much that we ate dinner there every day. Service was a bit slow, but we enjoyed taking our time as we enjoyed the views of the lake. We pretty much had almost everything on the menu over the week and everything was delicious! Extra perks included free firewood, for the two big fire pits. Fishing rods were available as well. They also sold worms for fishing on site so you didn’t have to go into town. Overall, we had a very relaxing time and really enjoyed everything this resort had to offer.

Beautiful area, very dated rooms. The carpet was heavily stained, the walls needed some patch work and a coat of paint. The tiles in the bathroom were mildew stained. Check in was at 3pm but I didn't get my room till 4. Instead of telling me it could be an hour they let me wait in the lobby. When my key was finally given to me I arrived to my room with the cleaning lady still working. I understand being short staffed but perhaps share this with your guests and they will be less likely to get annoyed. When I asked if they knew how long I'd be waiting I was ignored.
Breakfast was lovely. Nice spread of quality food. The beach and grounds are beautiful. I personally will not return, nor would I recommend to friends and family, however this was a beautiful location and could be enjoyed by families.

Family of 4, we arrived at this hotel on June 29th, for 2 days. Amazing first time experience from the beginning till the end!! The check-in went smooth, the receptionist was professional sharing the info we needed to know regarding our stay. The room we got was 72, second floor with an amazing view to the lake. The room was clean, big and modern, looked like being renovated.|Unfortunately the weather was not the best, but we were still able to enjoy the lake activities, paddle boats and kayaks. The lake is stunning! |The food and service at the restaurant are the best, the waiter Eli was extremely friendly and nice. Koodos to the chef, amazing food, very tasty and nicely presented. We were offered cheaps and salsa on the house for a dinner longer wait, so nice and thoughtful!|Breakfast was really good, with plenty of choices (one suggestion is to include some cheese and fresh vegetables).|I can say that the managemnt try their best to please their guests and they succeed doing so, a nice touch was the fireworks for Canada day offered at the beach, amazing show!|Can't wait to come back here and will highly recommend this place to my friends!|

I recently stayed at Grant Tappattoo Resort in Parry Sound. The location is fantastic, and the rooms are nicely updated, making for a pleasant first impression. However, the housekeeping service was disappointing. There's a note at the front desk advising guests to request housekeeping before 1 PM to get on the list, but during my one-week stay, I requested the service three times, and my room was never cleaned. It seems like they may not be running this service at the moment, which is quite frustrating. While I enjoyed my stay overall, I hope they address and improve their housekeeping services in the future, as it would make a significant difference.

Almost all rooms have a view of the lake. Decor was a little dated but other than that they were great. Jet bath tubs and fireplaces for the winter. There was a ton of activities for me and my kids, including use of canoes, kayaks, SUP boards, and pedal boats. There was also an inflatable trampoline with slide and balance log. Otter lake is nice and shallow so great for young kids and it was warm. Amazing buffet style breakfast and the staff was super friendly. We will definitely be returning, my son wanted to make it a monthly thing lol.

Just got back from a 2 day girls getaway with a good friend. We absolutely loved it here! Clean, renovated, spacious room with comfortable beds, indoor sitting seating area with an electric fireplace and balcony with lake view. I liked having a large dresser to unpack into, a large closet, a microwave and mini fridge. We ate lunch and dinner at the restaurant - both meals were fantastic, and every table gets a gorgeous view of the lake. Breakfast buffet is included and did not disappoint. The resort was booked solid this week, but it did not seem crowded or noisy. There's a nice indoor pool for rainy days, a sandy beach for swimming, a little blow up trampoline for the kids, kayaks and stand up paddle boards - they could do with more canoes and better paddles, but we still got a nice canoe ride in despite this. Honestly, I have been to a few other resorts in Muskoka before, and all of them left me a bit disappointed in how expensive they are despite their shabbiness, very weedy lake bottom or terrible food - but this resort is one I would certainly come back to. It's a great price for a lovely experience - thank you!
