Blue View Chalets - Collingwood, Ontario

We stayed in the Prima chalet and enjoyed ourselves. The current management company is quick to respond to inquiries and check in is a breeze. The main floor and upstairs were clean but the basement level could be better. The floors and baseboards were filthy with dust/dust bunnies.||The chalet sleeps 10 people but they have downsized the hot tub significantly. If you rent here with a bigger group you will not be able to enjoy the hot tub together, it will only seat 4 comfortably. It appears as the bigger hot tubs are life cycled out they are being replaced with much smaller ones. This chalet was stocked nicely and the bedding and towels were nice. The steam room works great. The furniture upstairs could use an update/upgrade, they are definitely starting to look and feel tired. ||We have been renting in this complex for over 10 years and will likely come back until all the hot tubs have been replaced with small ones. We were happy overall with the chalet but I'm giving the 2 star because the hot tub size. We had 8 ladies here for a girls weekend and couldn't all enjoy the hot together like we have in years past. ||Thanks for the stay.

The exterior is in very rough shape. The windows have no screens- meaning you can’t open them but somehow bugs were still getting in. The stairs are VERY steep and narrow, not toddler or grandparent friendly at all. Only one TV on the top floor in the entire duplex. Beds were quite uncomfortable and the AC was broken. It was over 90 degrees inside the house, needless to say we did not stay. The house is not very clean, but they charge over 350 dollars as a cleaning fee… hmmm. The property management team was great to deal with but I would not stay here again. We stayed at Blue View 9 Chalet. Beware! Pictures are very deceiving and it’s not as close as they allude to the village.

We have stayed here every year for 15 years always after labour day. This trip has in my opinion been the worst. Why is the pool closed , this has never been the case before. It was very enjoyable last year on the same weekend and very relaxing. This is the only reason we book here and used a 3 Rd party website that did not mention the new closing of the pool. Next year we will look at other options..we are currently in Luna till Wed and it's going to be 25 Tues and Wed ...a waste of a trip

We rented Chalet #5 Corona and Chalet #6 Stella for the Thanksgiving long weekend. The Chalets are located in a very desirable area and have ample parking. They are 3 floors each and the Living Room, Kitchen is on the top floor with cathedral ceilings and an open concept. The main floor when you walk in has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a sauna, laundry room, coat storage and access to the outdoor hot tub. The lower floor has 3 more bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Chalet #5 Corona was clean and fresh smelling. It had been updated with paint in more recent years and had a more modern feeling. The Sauna did not work and the water level was low in the Hot tub but no other complaints. Had plenty of towels and the beds were comfortable . Chalet #6 Stella had seen better days. She needed a fresh touch up of paint and cleaning. There were ripped couch cushions and burnt out bulbs. Windows that did not open/close properly with broken screens along with dead insects in the sills. The kitchen had limited pots for cooking and dirty baking sheets. The chalets had tons of space for everyone and the sheets were silky soft. The stairs became a bit too much for our older family members so something to keep in mind. Overall we all had a really great time at the Blue View Chalets and would recommend to anyone but hope to see some property repairs done soon.

We had an incredible stay with three young children. Very nice chalet, clean, extremely well-located, lots of amenities to accommodate young families. The view is magnificent. The owners were extremely accommodating to ensure we were comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay.

Location is beautiful, but cleanliness needs work.

The chalet location and layout is beautiful, we stayed for a week as a large group and really enjoyed it. The staff were helpful and responsive.

Unfortunately though their cleaning procedures and general maintenance really need work. There were lots of parts of the house that felt unclean and neglected when we arrived..

The showers were the most obvious issue. The grout in all the showers in the house was badly moldy and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time.

The dehumidifier running in the downstairs basement had mold in the collection tank, and the air filter on it was caked with dust from previous visitors.

Lots of dust under the bed I slept in, as well as a used tissue 🤢

If the house was cleaned better I would have zero hesitation with visiting again, it's just always a bit gross to find that the place you're sleeping/showering wasn't cleaned properly and it makes you wonder about the cleanliness of other things like the hot tub.

The chalet is beautiful, nice and close to the mountains no issues reaching customer service and they answer quickly.

Main issues is in the details. The top level (living and dining) was full of ants. They were crawling around garbage bins, on the counters, the tables, and where the dishes are stored. It is surface cleaned between guests so things like the microwave and stairs aren't clean. It says that toiletries are provided yet all the dispensers are empty, they put a super cheap conditioning shampoo on the counter which isn't even worth using.

I was a little nervous about renting here but so happy I did. The place was beautiful and perfect for us. We were a group of 10 adults looking for a relaxing place to hang out. The hot tub and steam room were amazing. Even the appliances were impressive. I will say would have been nice if there were paper towels and extra toilet paper so make sure to bring that. Otherwise the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. The chalet was very clean and check in and out were very easy. We are already planning our next getaway there.
