Every week, my husband drives me from way up north (nearby to Kirkland Lake) to Mississauga for an incredibly needed medical procedure, and we have been staying here at this lovely motel where the beds are relaxing and there is even a room with a walk in shower 🚿 that makes it much easier and safer for me to get clean â˜ș, last week we got the last available room just around 6pm.
The rooms are always clean, and the temperature control is available in each room.
The staff at this lovely location always have a smile for us staying with them. The staff have definitely earned ☆☆☆☆☆
We normally have our long-haired fluffy dog with us, and they provide us with extra sheets to cover the carpets, and they have never charged us a pet fee.

We were housed here during crisis and even though the inn advertised they were pet friendly they immediately got mad when my original arrangements for my dogs didn’t work out and I needed to get them, asking if I could place a deposit or additional cleaning fee (his reasoning was other ppl have allergies) he refused and instead called housing to discontinue our ability to stay here while homeless and in crisis as a single mother and with 3 kids

Worst service I’ve ever experienced and most inhumane business ever interacted with.
I quote “we are a business of operation, not a shelter” even though they were being paid full room rate for our stay regardless 😣

We choose this hotel so we could bring our dog. Owner will call you and knock on your door at 8am to move your car for the snow plow, and tell you to move your car to the parking lot across the street. As I wait for plow to finish, owner of the parking lot gets angry with motel owner for sending his customers to her property. Gentleman next door to us said owner does this every morning. Very dated hotel, disappointed. Saw the hotel's housekeeper throwing her coffee cup in snowbank.

had a terrible experience with the bracebridge inn. it started with the check in accommodation not being honoured when we drove four hours to get there. which was not the worst with us since we understand third party websites can change things. when we finally got to the room later we took the bed sheets off, as many people do, to make sure there’s no bugs. we saw signs of bed bugs or old bed bugs with many black splotches along the edges. there was also random hairs in the bed telling me they didn’t actually wash and change the sheets. when going to the front desk the man did give us another room. when we went in we checked the bed again and the stains weren’t as bad but we found a flattened bed bug with picture proof. the guy running the front desk got mad at us and said that we had no right to take apart the bed sheets and that the maid wasn’t there to redo it - he was honestly being very disrespectful and rude. when you rent a room, you’re allowed to take the bed sheets off, there are no rules against that. we didn’t make a mess of the room or anything either, just put the sheets in one spot of the room on a chair. i said to him you have to change the bedsheets after each person anyways. he was acting very unprofessional and it seemed he was embarrassed because he knew the hotel was not up to any standards. you would think after having a previous bed bug infestation three years ago (as he told us) you would change the mattress - which they don’t. another lady who worked there pretty much accused us of putting the bug there and said that we would have to be bit first by bed bugs for them to believe us. i don’t believe we are high maintenance people but the last thing we want are any type of bugs that we can bring home. after leaving and going to a different hotel they even told us they don’t recommend people staying here. very disappointed and put a bad start to our vacation.

was waiting to see if we could get the full refund before posting this but that didn’t happen. these events took place a couple weeks ago

The best thing about this motel is the location. The room was not very clean, as I found nuts and even a sock just by the bedside. Lots of dust in the corners and hair on the sheets/pillows. Mattresses are old and saggy and the room had an odd smell. Even the bathroom walls had hair and drip marks on them. There was a buildup of dust on the baseboards and mould and mildew on all the caulking. The back of the toilet seat (where it connects to the bowl) was so disgusting as was the back of the taps at the sink. The carpet looked clean so maybe they have replaced it more recently. Tv/fridge/microwave all worked (didn’t try the coffee machine). |We won’t ever be back. This place has potential so it’s sad the owners can’t bother to keep it clean. I don’t care if the decor is old but it should be clean and comfortable.

We stayed here for 2 nights for the fire and ice festival, as soon as we walked in the room, it stank really bad. The washroom was horrifying, the light switch and door knob in the bathroom was so gross, (see the picture) we cleaned it with a sanizer wipe we had because we didn't want to touch it. The sheet that's on the box spring was completely stained (see the picture).||We had some problems with the heat in our room, when we first arrived it was very cold, but the heater read 72F, we had to crank it to 86F to reach a comfortable temperature, we gave it a few hours and it finally warmed up, we were going to tell the front desk but it seemed to finally get to a decent temp.||Everything was dirty, and I personally believe that this room was actually never cleaned at all. I would not recommend it. We stayed in room 109.

This place is not good it needs a health inspection there were huge ants coming into the bathroom through the broken floor tiles & from the separations in the walls. The hotel floors were filthy and the owner was a real jerk. The room my colleagues had separate to the main hotel was much cleaner & without bugs.

Stayed here for a night after a wedding, in the fall this is is a $180 room for the night, which is ridiculous for the quality of the motel. They raise the price for the people coming to see the beautiful fall colours. Location is good, and the owner/manager was super nice. My room #15 entered a closet before the actual door to room which was really odd. The room was very dated, broken blinds on the window (don’t touch or they fall out), but it was the dirty mattress that made me gag, no mattress covers, saw multiple stains, possibly blood on one. So slept on top with my own blankets and was happy to get up in the am and leave. The Hilton down the street was $280 so we choose here, as was just a place to sleep after a party.
