My family and I had a great time. The rooms are simple yet functional, with cozy beds and smart design features. The lobby has a lively, welcoming vibe with games and seating areas. Breakfast is complimentary with a decent variety. We loved and really enjoyed the warm waterfall feature and bubbles in the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s a great choice for families or travelers looking for a convenient and budget-friendly stay in the area.

We recently stayed at this hotel and, overall, everything was great – the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was convenient.

However, the main reason we chose this hotel was because of the indoor pool, as we had planned a weekend getaway with our kids specifically centered around swimming. Unfortunately, the pool was extremely cold – so cold that no one could comfortably swim in it.

This was very disappointing, as it completely ruined the main purpose of our trip. Our staying didn’t go as planned, and we left feeling let down.

I’ve stayed at the Hilton brands before and have had great experiences! Tru unfortunately did not meet those expectations.
Check-in is at 3pm and we arrived from the city at 6pm, delayed by a highway closure due to an accident. When we arrived we were assigned a room that appeared that someone just checked out. The kids were exhausted and for us to wait an additional 30 minutes to get a room between the back and forth was completely ridiculous!
Nothing was offered to compensate for this error and this was only the beginning.
The new room assigned had issues of its own. For 2 days the lock on the door wouldn't lock. We came to realize it when we tried to leave the room the next day and one of the kids opened the door and walked in. Remedying that was a task in itself. I waited in the room while the employee tried resetting the lock, changing the battery, and eventually reprogramming the lock.
The AC/heat unit in the room kept us up all night because it sounded like a rocket taking off.
On the up side the staff were very polite and super friendly! The assisted throughout these challenges with a smile! For a hotel only open for 3 months I expected better! Do BETTER!

The hotel is in a great location—modern, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast is a nice bonus! However, what truly sets Tru By Hilton Bracebridge apart is the amazing staff.

We stayed for a weekend in February but had to cut our trip short due to an incoming snowstorm. The front desk team was incredibly accommodating, making the process seamless. In our rush to leave, we accidentally left behind our iPhone fast chargers. Vaidik, the Front Desk Supervisor, went above and beyond to help, personally dropping them off at Canada Post after receiving the shipping label.

This level of care and customer service is rare, and I highly recommend staying here!

The receptionist was wonderful!! Such a caring and lovely young woman who ensured we had a great stay. She also encouraged the gymnastics kids on their competition! Thank you! I wish I caught her name.
The hotel is also very clean and coffee is always fresh and available.

The hotel was clean and brand new, and the staff was very kind. We are considering coming back in the summer. The view, with the snow, was amazing. We wanted to swim while enjoying the view, but the water was a bit too cold for winter. I wish they had a warmer pool or a spa. I love the concept of providing water stations for reusable bottles. I believe the rooms are soundproof since my sister and her kids were in the room next to mine, and I never heard any noise.

I stayed at Tru for 3 nights this week and it was a wonderful experience. I was visiting Muskoka with my mom and my boyfriend for a business matter, we had two rooms. The rooms and hotel were super clean, nice and new. The staff were so kind and attentive! Answered all of our questions promptly and overall lovely to chat with. The gym was spacious and new and the peloton was a great surprise. The pool room was so nice as well. The pool is a bit on the smaller side so I could see it getting quite busy with children but still such a relaxing experience overall. Would definitely stay at Tru again! Thanks to the front desk staff.

I had a confirmed reservation at Tru by Hilton Bracebridge and 20 minutes before my check in, and after driving 3 hours, the GM phoned me to advise that due to "a glitch in the system" they were overbooked and there was no room for me. He was sorry. After spending 1 hour on the phone with Booking.com, and because the GM cancelled the reservation through Booking.com, it seemed as if I had cancelled too soon to my booking causing more confusion. They told me they had 45 minutes to find me a room elsewhere. I knew everything was sold out due to the weather, and there isn't much in this area, so, after strongly insisting I wanted a full refund, I am told one will be made to my credit card in 7-12 days. This is a new hotel. I would urge people to let them get past the growing pains before booking here. The GM should apprise himself of cancellation policies with vendors such as Booking.com. At the very least, the GM should have offered a discount (comp?) a room for a future stay.
