We booked a trip to a wedding down south. We were supposed to leave just after everything shut down due to the pandemic. Understandably, things were in Limbo. However, there was absolutely no communication from Donna or Peterborough travel and finally, after many unanswered emails/phone calls not just from us but from MANY attendees of the wedding the only answer that we got was that we had a voucher to use on another trip. This process of unresponsive emails, phone calls caused the poor bride and groom so much frustration for all of their friends and family. We will never use this travel agency again nor recommend them to anyone, such horrible customer service.

Dealing with Melissa and Donna at Peterborough Travel was a very frustrating experience. We booked a trip through them last year, and due to COVID it was cancelled in March. We have been fighting with the Insurance Provider (Manulife) and Transat to attain either a travel voucher for a different trip or a refund for the money paid, and Donna, as our travel agent, was extraordinarily unhelpful. Peterborough Travel works closely with both Transat and Manulife, and both companies required documents from the travel agent to proceed with the claim. It took months of struggle to get Donna to pick up the phone and call them and to get her to email them the information that was required. At times, Donna seemed determined to avoid contact with them in order to delay our claim being processed. She constantly shifted blame between the two companies without attempting to proactively work on a resolution by contacting them directly. She had over six months to fix a problem that required one email and a five minute phone call, but she constantly avoided helping us and blamed either of the two companies while her partner Melissa stood by and allowed this charade to continue. When Donna decided she did not want to continue communication, she would take weeks to months to respond to an email, a practice that was exceptionally frustrating as Peterborough Travel also decided to shut down their phone lines into their travel agency during a pandemic - a very unfortunate decision that left myself and many other people who booked this same trip in the dark and without any assistance.

Overall, if you would like professional and helpful travel agents who will communicate with you in a timely manner and will help you during uncertain times, I would avoid Peterborough Travel. On the other hand, if you are looking for a travel agent that will refuse to communicate with you, will avoid correspondence with the travel supplier and insurance company, and will leave thousands of your hard earned dollars in limbo because "it's someone else's problem", Peterborough Travel is your best bet.

I Cant explain the frustration we have had dealing with donna. it started before covid. asking for receipts exactly how much we owe, anything to do with her job in general was an impossible task. THEN covid hit, complete disrespect of peoples money is an understatement of this place. Donna wouldn't respond to anyone's emails, update anyone with receipts just completely left everyone in the dark. we have finally received a partial refund from the government mandate that still doesn't include a receipt of what we originally paid after asking dozens of times email after email. if you want to go on a vacation stressed, headaches, furious book with this travel agency your dreams will come true.
