It's really sad that Durham Bus lines hired some very rude, obnoxious, and self centered driver, unfortunately I live beside one, who constantly parks his Bus infront of my house every day unless it obviously the weekend to the point where make it hard to get out of my own driveway and top it all off I drive a GMC Sierra pick up truck which doesn't have a sharp turning radis and if I have a trailer on the back good luck it's impossible to get in, I usually mind my own business and let people be but this morning, as I was trying to back into my driveway as it's narrow and obviously with our recent snow piles I have to back in straight on well he decided he is more important and drives infront of my truck and parks his Bus as I was backing in my driveway narrowly missing my trucks front end, needless to say I can put up with alot but that was the breaking point totally unprofessional driver, he drives Bus 504 in durham region I would be aware, very angry bitter, selfish old man.

Booked them for a group trip. Great experience overall, staff was accommodating to a few changes we made to the itinerary prior to trip. On day of, Peter, our bus driver, was very accommodating and patient while we were getting getting organized and getting the group to board both on the way there and the way back!

Completely inconsistent with their pick up and drop off time for special needs students. I am often waiting a half an hour in advance because the bus is either 15 minutes early or 15 minutes late everyday. I've spoken multiple times to dispatch about this issue without it ever being resolved

A typical day starts at 7:00 AM; physically checking the bus to ensure its safety to transport children (precious cargo) to and from school AM and PM. Safety and always being aware of your surroundings is vital; kids, will always be kids.
I myself is a parent, and yes, kids will "test" you, however, I have learned diplomacy does work. Prior to being licensed, (as a school bus driver) you are trained and tested (by Durham Ways) . Training involves (1) Theory: road rules and complying there-of (2) Practical: physical driving; embarking and disembarking precious cargo .
DurhamWay prides itself in "safety 1st".
Safety encompasses, the kids (precious cargo), the bus (transport) and us the drivers (foot to the pedal).
In every job,or life for that matter, there will always be challenges, the results can be "lemonade", or higher learning, depending on your perception. DurhamWay,thanks for giving me this amazing opportunity to play such an important role in my community.

Seen Driver block the intersection of Cedar st and Phillip Murray Avenue.
Seeing as they will defend their drivers even if they are in the wrong, the license plate number and bus number will be submitted to the police along with a traffic report
