Dommage que le Gouvernement ne s'implique pas pour l'entretien de ce site, c'est tellement beau.

What a wonderful surprise! We were out driving and came across The Morland Place, it is so Unique and beautiful!! We found out that in the summer this place is even more beautiful and will definitely be back. The Owner was very kind and knowledgeable. A rare gem of a place!

Simply unbelievable. We met the owner, a friendly, knowledgeable, open and garrulous man, who designed and built the whole place.

The. Whole. Place.

The manor house, the gardens - all him. Staggering. Things are getting a trifle run down now, but the man is alone and eighty years old. The gardens are truly a wonder; the fallen grandeur is something to behold. Even the barns and greenhouses are fascinating.

And the house - again, the art, skill and incredible drive to design and build such a masterpiece must be seen to be believed. If you are lucky enough to be invited in, just look at the staircase.

And remember...he made it on his own!

This is an absolute gorgeous place. The home is beautiful and the extravagant garden is just amazing. A lot of time, hardwork, and love has gone into everything. I cannot put into words how beautiful everything is, it's a MUST see! Met the owner/builder Barry More and he talked about all the work he's done. Super friendly guy and am amazed at what he's done with the place. Highly recommend visiting.

The owner Barry is extremely nice to let us walk the grounds and admire the years of history from his family. The gardens are beautiful, with different ideas flowing into one another. The house is layers of beautiful additions promoting character and ideas of the times. Thank you Barry for letting us enjoy the history.

This place has a small parking lot with not much space, but it was free to enter. The more we walked, the better it got. There was a big house in the middle with a lot of old stuff inside; we weren't sure if we were allowed in, but went in after some tour guide looking guy said it was okay.

The area was mostly well kept except for the maze in the back, which was a bit overgrown.. we went in for a couple of minutes but turned back since it was not too pleasant to go further and didn't want to get lost.

Overall, I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are visiting Owen Sound.
