Bonne nourriture et nous en avons pour notre argent. Bonne bière locale. Le seul "hick" je dirais c'est le service. Nous avons été servis sans ustensiles et la serveuse nous apporter notre plat principal alors que nous n'avions pas terminé l'entrée. Elle nous l'a déposé sur notre table minuscule au milieu de nos entrées. Trop rush à notre goût.

We enjoyed decent company and a good meal by the waterfront in Pictou here in the Nook and Cranny. Despite the name, the restaurant is spacious enough for about 10 tables on its main first floor. We happened to visit when they had a live band playing.

We tried the Cranberry Coconut Chicken, as well as their BBQ Bacon Burger and Mac & Cheese. The creativity was interesting on the moist flavorful chicken dish filled with feta cheese although I couldn’t taste coconut or cranberry. The other dishes tasted good.

Service was a bit slow on arrival but kind in helping us with several group photos for the fun outing. The central location is near a shipbuilding landmark & overlooks the paper mill across the waters.

Stopped into this cozy , waterfront restaurant ! It was perfection. We had the white wine steamed mussels to start — they were delicious. My partner got the 2 pc fish and chips & i opted for the pulled pork burger. The house cut fries were divine. The portions were great. We had no room for dessert but they looked great as well!

Our waitress was friendly & attentive. The atmosphere was romantic and cozy. Highly recommend !!

Stopped in while driving through Pictou. Great location with view of the water. Large parking lot behind the restaurant (free parking). I ordered a burger with fries, my friend a chicken sandwich on gluten free bread with a side of rice. The fryer is gluten contaminated so the only gf side options are salad or rice. Great place.

I picked this restaurant at random because of its proximity to the Hector Heritage Quay that we wanted to visit. None of our party were at all disappointed. We had lunch in the outdoor dining area and enjoyed the views and cool ocean breeze. The servers were friendly, engaging, and fun. The food was delicious, hot, and just the right sized portions. The muscles in white wine and garlic were great, as was the lobster mac and cheese. Would definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area. I'd gladly come back if I make it back up this way again.

The ONLY spot to get Truffle Fries LOADED with Parm & Garlic Aioli for only a $3 Upgrade!!! Well Done 👍 The Blueberry Haddock is also a wonderful taste sensation and cooked to a Crispy Perfection (not soggy batter like most tend to serve up). I also Gota say that I absolutely love the Bougie rustic napkins! You'll see what I mean...

Our first visit to the new Pictou N&C. Rainy day, so it was quiet. The restaurant is really nice and clean. The menu has a great variety of food. For lunch we each had a burger. We had the Mushroom & Smoked Gouda and the BBQ & Bacon. They were delicious! We both had them with the hand-cut fries. The service was fast and friendly. We asked some questions and found out that they have live music every Saturday. They also said that in the next few weeks they are opening the upstairs which has a separate bar area.

The nook and cranny pictou location is a great addition to the Pictou Waterfront ! There is a lot of variety to choose from, something anyone can enjoy. Food was cooked perfectly. We tried the “rock lobster” drink which was delicious. Our fantastic waiter helped our table get mock tails of the drink to include everyone in the fun. Kudos to him for providing an excellent experience and being so open to our table. Extremely personable, friendly, and open.
