7 Lakes Wilderness Camps is a must stay. Just returning from my latest trip to the drive-in Walleye Cove. We stayed in the Wolves Rest cabin and it did not disappoint. The cabin was very clean, well maintained, and stocked with everything we would need for our week of fishing. If there was anything that we needed, Brad, Helen and Mike were there to accommodate no questions asked. The fishing was great and there is plenty of water to explore and get into the walleyes. Our group caught several over 24" and had plenty for fish frys. Overall, couldn't ask for a better week of fishing, laughs and adventure. If you are looking for a fishing camp with great hosts and cabins - head on up to Seven Lakes Wilderness Camps. Thank you Brad, Helen and Mike for a GREAT week!

A group of friends and I just returned from a weeks stay at Walleye Cove. This place has everything you would expect and then some for a remote wilderness camp. Comparing it to my other experiences in Canada, having a shower, toilet and running hot water in our cabin was a pleasant surprise. The Wolves Rest cabin we stayed in was very well maintained, clean and had the basic necessities (pots, pans, cups, silverware etc) for our stay. There were 5 guys in our group and there was plenty space for our gear, food, clothes etc. Brad and Helen were very transparent and easy to work with. I look forward to staying with 7 Lakes in the future.

This was my third trip with the Slagels staying at Ara, Marshall, and Twin lakes. Every cabin is very well maintained and very comfortable with amenities you normally wouldn’t find in outfitting camps. The fishing is top notch and enjoyable for all skill levels. Brad and Helen are such good hosts and once you meet them you’ll understand why their camps are so well kept. Will be booking future trips with them.

What a great stay at 7 Lakes wilderness camp at the Twin lakes location, outside of Nakina. This was my second trip with 7 Lakes and definitely won’t be the last. My first trip was to their remote Marshall Lake location and experienced world class fishing at its finest along with a comfortable camp and cabin.
The Twin Lakes Camp has everything to offer- amazing views, full amenities(running water, hot water, full kitchen, wifi, fish cleaning shack, shower, electricity, convenient dock/landing location, etc) two connected lakes full of fish that you can spend days and days exploring, and a great personable staff that is completely customer minded. For the person or group looking for a Canadian wilderness get away with very comfortable home-like features this may be the trip for you. If you are looking for something more remote they also offer that in their several fly in only outposts.

The fishing was good even with a recent mayfly hatch. We caught fish every day and ate our fill of walleye. I would love to see the fishing when their bellies aren’t full of mayflies. Exclusively walleye was caught, we did however catch some pike and perch, and there is a brook trout lake that is about a 30 minute drive, packed full of hard fighting brook trout.

All in all my stay with 7 lakes was hands down fantastic. The owners and staff are great people that will do anything for anyone and they take pride in their camps, as they should. I will be booking multiple trips in the future with them, hoping to experience all 7!

I have been working with Brad & Helen with Seven Lakes Wilderness camps for 5-6 years. I have stayed at Walleye Cove, I have been on a Moose Hunt and have done a couple of Fly-in Fishing trips as well. I cant tell you how nice it is to work with them on whatever type of trip you are looking for. They have been more than accommodating. The fishing at all of their camps have been outstanding. The accommodations have always been comfortable. I have not used another outfitter since starting to work with them. I really appreciate the honesty about what the expectations should be when traveling to a wilderness camp. They are right up front about the fact that you are not staying at the Hilton but given what they have to work with in the Wilderness they do a great job. The trophies from here have been outstanding. I have personally caught and witnessed More than 10 walleyes in excess of 28" 13 Northern Pike in excess of 40' with my largest being 48 1/4. Brook Trout in excess of 20's Incredible. On My first Moose hunt I was able to harvest a 54" Bull. I don't think you can o wrong booking a trip with Brad & Helen and Seven Lakes Wilderness.

I have a group heading up to see Helen and Brad in a couple of days for our annual early summer fishing trip. Can't wait! I've made the trip every year for the last several years and with the exception of covid and border closures. Cabins are rustic but that just adds to the experience. Still working my way through all the lakes and can't really pick one as my favorite. They have all offered something diferent and special. Tell Brad what you want out of the trip and let him pick for you. Find excuses to call and talk to Helen. She's a hoot! I've caught walleye over 30 inches and numerous good pike the largest being 43. There's something special being on lakes and going or even the entire week without seeing another group. Take a good attitude, a camera, a few good friends and watch the sun go down while the loons serenade you. Bring home great memories and some fish. One of these years I'll just hop from lake to lake for a few weeks or a month.
UPDATE: Thought I should provide an update. Last spring added a 44" pike and another monster PB 55" pike. Returning to the same lake and will return to our big pike hole. Also fished this lake and another last September and did very well including walleye to 29". Dont forget the fall.

I have finally had the opportunity to sit down and write this short, but sweet review on Brad and Helen‘s camp. With it being as remote as it is, our expectations were surpassed with the rustic cabins, Wi-Fi service, and abundance of firewood, beautiful views, hot showers, excellently equipped cabins, very quiet, and very clean.
Yes, there may be more exclusive, more flashy, and more expensive places out there but I’m given no reason not to go back this September on another archery hunt. We seen and heard several moose, lots of sign and many km’s to explore. however, we did not have a shot opportunity. The fishing was magnificent with dozens of fish caught.
I highly recommend this camp for your fishing and hunting adventures. I will be returning and possibly for a DIY spring bear hunt. Hope to see you both soon.
