Don’t even look at another option if you are looking for a guide in the stunning North Channel! Captain Kevin exceeded every expectation I could imagine. My 13 year son & I booked a 4 hour trip at the last minute & made memories that will last a lifetime! the Captain was gracious, patient, hilarious, and so encouraging. My son has never been fishing beyond a few bluegills off a dock in Michigan & was nervous about what to expect. After losing his first couple fish, The Captain kept reminding my son that it was absolutely gonna happen for him and it certainly did. We each caught two big Lake Trout & the entire late afternoon was glorious. Captain Kevin is the kind of human we need to clone. So kind, thoughtful and just cool as hell. I only wish we were up here on a Friday to try his Bbq because his side hustle is smoking hog & fish! UPDATE: so so delicious!!!!

Five Stars for Swing Bridge Charters & Captain Kevin. Our entire family had a fabulous experience and we came home with a big catch. Captain Kevin was great with both of our children (4 and 9) and our eldest was able to land two massive lake trout. Kevin's knowledge of the area and passion for fishing created an experience our family will never forget. I recommend booking your next charter with Swing Bridge Charters, you won't regret it.

We had an amazing time with Captain Kevin! The fishing was excellent, and my wife Nina and I each caught our limit of Lake trout. The highlight was our conversations with Capt. Kevin, where we shared stories about life, family, food, and culture. We're definitely planning to return, and next time, we'll be sure to try the BBQ and mac too!

Caught my biggest fish so far, a Lake Trout, while downrigging with Capt. Kevin. Capt. Kevin is a very knowledgeable and fun to be around person. I and my girlfriend Laura really enjoyed his company during our trip. Just be careful not to fall out of the boat laughing while he share his experiences ?. Awesome person, wonderful experience.

On July 9th myself & 3 buddies, along with Captain Kevin and his son, also a Captain, went for a 7/11 (4hrs of morning fishing down rigging for delicious Lakers). We only caught two but they were a nice size and Kev carved em up for the bbq for us. That night we threw em on the grill & it was enough to feed the 8 of us. The wives commented how delicious the fresh Lake Trout was. We might make capable foragers yet 🙂
The north channel water was clean and beautiful, scenery incredible, and we even saw 3 deer swimming about a mile off shore, having recently escaped a pack of wolves lol....what an experience that was for some dudes from the GTA. If you're on Manitoulin I'd highly recommend booking with SBC. Great father/son tandem, plenty of laughs, and they have great equipment and really know what they are doing. If I'm up in that neck of the woods again I wouldn't hesitate contacting Kevin for round two. Two enthusiastic thumbs up....and yes, next time I'll bring the Speducci!
