Well where do I start. We are attending a wedding in a week or so and it has been very tough to deal with our travel agent. Here is the quick notes. On June 2024 we booked our travel and put down the deposit. We booked a 2 bedroom suite because at the time it made a lot of sense as the family was all going diamond club and the cost wasn’t too bad. Fast forward to November 2024 our travel agent Judith called us and said that there are no more 2 bedrooms available (this happened to the bride and groom also) so after some back and forth she booked us in a 1 bedroom. Our children are older now so we need a little extra space. Fast forward to Feb 2025 we then are emailed telling us that we can’t get the 1 bedroom they don’t have any available and of course they want full payment at this time, now I do understand that these are first world problems but I have been on many all inclusive and whenever I book a room and put a deposit down that’s the room I get. So of course we then go to the junior suite with swim out at what is almost the same price as the 2 bedroom we originally booked and higher than the 1 bedroom. We accepted that and moved on. Now being a week away we see that there is a 1 bedroom available and our travel agent said when you arrive see what the hotel will do as they can’t do anything now. For me I always find it important to try and make up for mistakes that have happened regardless if they want to blame sunwing. This is the reason that I have given romantics planet the rating I’ve given it. The additional stress on the bride and groom has not been fun and as you can imagine they are now worried about how things will be when they arrive.

My husband and I wanted a special vacation away to celebrate our 20th wedding Anniversary. We contacted Corinne Wilson-Daly of Romantic Planet Vacations and she took care of all the details for us. She booked us in at the RIU Republica, Adults only in Punta Cana. She made them aware that we were celebrating our anniversary. Upon arrival to our room we were greeted with a welcome letter congratulating us, a bottle of champagne, a fresh bag of coffee for us to take home, a souvenir mug and pen. The hotel and food was amazing and we had such a wonderful time. Corinne made booking the trip a breeze and had everything set up online for us to access at anytime for payments etc. We would definately recommend Corinne Wilson-Daly and Romantic Planet Vacations for anyone wanting to book a vacation with a reputable and qualified travel agent. Thanks again Corinne for helping us to make our 20th a memorable one!

I cannot say how amazing my experience has been with Michele Walker. We knew the moment we got engaged we wanted a smaller, intimate beach wedding with our closest friends and family. I expressed what I wanted from my initial email, and Michele helped me in every aspect.
It was important our resort was kid friendly, affordable, but clean, fun atmosphere & nothing below 4 stars. She answered every question, took away all my worries and even assisted with speaking to the resort for me. It took a few back and forth emails to come to a decision on the resort we wanted, but she was extremely patient and understanding the whole process !
If your looking for a travel agent who specializes in weddings and honeymoons, ask for Michele. We cant wait to day I Do in Punta Cana in 7 months ! Thanks for a stress free wedding planning process Michele!! 🙂

I would like to pop on here and share a positive experience I recently had with Romantic Planet Vacations, particularly in handling my group booking, which I have learned often involves complexities such as varying flight prices, unexpected time changes, and coordination among travelers from different regions. Despite some anticipated challenges, I commend Romantic Planet for its exceptional service, with their prompt and competent resolution of any issues we encountered during the booking process.

I celebrated a milestone birthday in Jamaica, with 25 close friends and family members. I praise Romantic Planet's efficient group booking process, with easy navigation of the group website, timely invoicing via email, and helpful payment reminder emails that ensured everyone stayed organized. Furthermore, the excellent service provided by our travel agent, Andrea, who effectively communicated our requests directly to the hotel even though request were said not to always be guaranteed.

We received our e-document 2 weeks prior to our travel date and being an avid traveller, I’m used to having tickets earlier, However, I appreciated Andrea's clarification of the group booking process, which requires all parties to be finalized before the release of the travel voucher—this I did not know. Despite this adjustment, I found the experience stress-free with Romantic Planet's outstanding service and industry expertise. I will definitely use them again….thank you Andrea and your team at Romantic Planet Vacations!

We used Corinne Wilson with Romantic Planet Vacations and I cannot say enough good things about her. She helped us plan the wedding and choose the destination. We chose the Riu Palace in Los Cabos Mexico. she was very knowledgeable about the hotel and destination. She answered very question from us and our group of 40 people who went away. She always responded in a timely manner and was very professional. We would definitely recommend her to future clients looking to plan a destination wedding. Thanks again Corinne!!

I was booked for my wedding and everything was going fairly smoothly up until the wedding coordinator from the resort sent me a form 60 pages long to plan my wedding and asked for it to be completed in 2 weeks (the forms said i should have had 6 weeks). Whenever there was an issue or question with travel, it was very difficult to get a hold of someone or get the answer we were looking for. Sunwing was unorganized the had ZERO customer service,and almost ruined my wedding, damaged my luggage (they threw it in front of me and laughed) and over 6 months later after back and forth emails, I'm then told I have to buy new luggage again before getting reimbursed. My wedding flowers were wrong, receptions details and tables and seating I chose were wrong Despite several confirmation emails and a zoom call. My name was even spelled wrong on our shot glasses. It was not an easy stress free experience, but it should have been. No one took accountability. We even had trouble getting home! me and my husband who booked the group were no longer on the booking list and they would not let us on the shuttle to the airport. We had to get someone to explain in spanish and even showing them our booking number they refused. Finally they let us on i believe someone paid them. I left in Tears. Our resort staff warned us that Sunwing is very bad, once we were down there this was apparently common knowledge (I never flew in group reservation before so I was not aware) so I'm wondering why I was set up through them?

I have nothing but good things to say about this travel agency. We had the pleasure of working with our agent Andrea Stainburn, for an entire year of planning our destination wedding in Punta Cana. She was so knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely amazing at her job! everything we needed got done so quickly not only for myself & my husband, but also for our entire wedding guest group of 40 people. Anything we needed she was always there with an answer! Nothing but an amazing experience working with Andrea!!! We couldn’t thank her enough for making our wedding week/day at Dreams Royal Beach-Punta Cana much more wonderful ❤️ if you are looking for an agent -she is your go to person!!!! You won’t regret it.

They have fixed it but Andrea Stainburn is the most unapologetic person I have ever dealt with!

Also the positive reviews are most like friends or people who work for the company. You will be so stressed if you deal with this company.
I would never send anyone their way or book with them again!
Please wish me luck I leave in 7 days and this has been torture, I should not have booked with them I am regretting every moment!

Update 5:

I personally called the group booking line at sunwing and Andrea nor Laurie have yet to fix the issue, but keep asking what they can do and they do not understand my frustration. I literally leave in 6 days and need my daughter name fixed and they have not called to do this I keep getting a hold of the booking department so not understanding why they are having an issue.

Update 4:

They told me that they are waiting for sunwing to get back to them about changing the name so I’m a person who likes to fact check so I called sunwing myself and got through, but to actually fix the error the agent has to call and we’ll point proven the agent has not called or it would have been rectified. I am asking the heavens to give them the competence to fix this in a timely manner

Update 3:

It’s honestly driving me insane the constant calling it a spelling error when you put a completely different last name for my daughter so No it’s not just a spelling error it’s a huge mess up 6 days until travel and the issue is still not fixed!

Oh and the question from the owner of her wanting to learn why there is such incredible upset about their service. Ummm you literally put an incorrect name I leave in 6 days and it’s not rectified. Travel agents are used to avoid these types of issue not to create them. Telling me that they don’t come across people like me with so much distress excuse me you were used to alleviate this and caused it. I like well oiled stress free trips free from any error and the owner as well as the agent keeps calling it a spelling error to diminish that a wrong last name was put. 20 years in business does not change the fact that the service is terrible!

2nd update:

I got a call back from Andrea who clearly did not see her error as I have yet to receive an apology for putting my daughter’s last name incorrectly. When I asked how an error like this can happen she was like well mistakes can happen. Yes she is absolutely correct however not when it comes to travel and inputting pertinent information! Also she did say she could fix it in a few minutes but followed up with an email saying she has to reach out to the supplier and it will be fixed by end of the day and still no apology just a thank you for my patience which I absolutely have none at this point.

Update:
8 days till my travel all information on my end entered correctly how does she write my Daughters name incorrectly worse experience and I am loosing my mind. Never have I dealt with a travel agent and had this much anxiety from just incompetence! Like I literally feel so stressed. Please do not deal with this company if you value your sanity and want a stress free trip!

I have not even left for my trip yet and the experience is horrid. I don’t know if they are boutique travel services or romantic planet as I was originally at time of booking dealing with one agent and when I reached out to email who I was emailing originally they advised I had the wrong email. I looked in my email to see if any update was provided in change of person and nothing. No documents that have the actual booking number had to call the airline and get it!
Ugggghhhh the pain and we haven’t even left yet! Wish me luck for the trip I hope it is good because this experience has been awful and also we did group booking and the price should have been cheaper but nope other family members decided not to go with the agent and well they saved $200 per person on their trip.
I do not recommend to book with them at all!
