This place surprised me. The rooms were fairly decent. The restaurant downstairs is amazing. No amenities really so that's why I didn't give it a full five stars.

I asked bar tender for hot drinking water. And she behaved rude said “ from where the heck should I get hot water”. Well if you can’t provide, then be polite. Rudest customer service I have ever experienced.

Never stayed there yet. We only enjoyed an early supper, with great food, service, and prices!

I rarely give a bad review but this is not how hotels operate.
Rooms are clean, restaurant is nice and good corporate rate if you can get it.
But I was told at the front desk a security deposit of $125 is required PER NIGHT. I gave the example of staying 2 weeks and I was quoted a security deposit of $1750.

Even FIRST CLASS hotels only charge upwards of 500 dollars for a deposit. And I was not the only guest this was told to.

STAY AWAY until management can resolve their policy issues!!

Room was nice and updated but if you put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig and the Lady at the front desk was not very informative at all, and ignorant. parking lot felt like A back alley that you would get stabbed in so next time I’ll spend a few extra bucks to go get a fancy hotel with a well lit parking lot ,hot tub and pool

The Pioneer feels like home away from home for me. I've been staying there half of every week for the past six months. I will stay there half of every week for the 2023 year as well. It's quiet with a great restaurant directly below the rooms. You can order food and walk 30 seconds down the stairs to pick it up if you don't feel like dining in.

The staff are so kind and just good people. They know me, and I know them. They express concern when I have arrived in a snow storm. Or when I'm leaving in one. You don't find that at other hotels.
