We stayed there last weekend for 2 nights to see the "Rock the lake" concert by the Austin Carson band (who are fantastic!). The location is nice and we found the room very comfortable. Zee went out of his way to accommodate our request for a fridge and we appreciated it very much, thanks Zee!

Great location on 12 mile lake. Well maintained, but showing its age. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed due to a lack of workers, do that was very disappointing. Also,the lake had no fish,which is why I went. Fished everywhere for a whole week and nothing but Perch.

I brought a large group of families with young kids for a retreat weekend in early September. The rooms were clean, easy and comfortable. They organized group breakfasts for us, which was buffet style and great. The owner was so flexible and kind. Our kids ran around, played by the beach, had a campfire and sang karaoke. It was our first time trying an event like this and we immediately rebooked for next fall. The Red Umbrella just made the entire event seem easy and manageable. Our kids had a blast hanging out, which made the parents love it all the more.

The rooms needed a major upgrade, our screen door didn’t close so chipmunks came in, the couch was so stained I wouldn’t even sit on it. They failed to say the restaurant isn’t open (due to lack of help) They charged my visa two weeks before we arrived and then added another 26.00 for services when I inquired I was told “for things like a hair dryer that you are asking for” (my hair dryer in the room was broken. Was told we were paying for the lake and not the necessarily the rooms. …would I go back there NO!

Recently travelled to the area on our motorbikes. Had trouble finding a place to stay but ended up at the Red Umbrella. Our accommodations were pretty average it was an older building and appeared to be in mid repair. To be fair it was their last room. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was dated and needed work. Overall the unit was clean just old and tired.
The restaurant/bar was a great spot. The bar tender / server was running all night and she was awesome. The food was amazing , no really it was exceptional and would highly recommend you stop by even if your not staying. Our experience in the dining room is the reason we will return. Beautiful lake view and very accommodating staff.

A very enjoyable place to stay. The rooms in the Inn were very comfortable and clean. The floors were creaky but that added to the charm. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious.
Our favourite staff member was Rusty!!! 🐕
If we had a suggestion it would be to have a lamp by each bed instead of only one.

I stayed at the Red Umbrella Inn in August for a wedding. When I had booked the room I had been told a price of my two night stay and received a booking invoice that matched the price I was told over the phone. However, when I arrived at the Inn, the price of the room per night was higher than stated on my booking invoice.

I had specifically booked the Red Umbrella Inn because the price was cheaper then the other option. I asked them why I was getting charged a higher price then my booking invoice and the man at the front desk mentioned that the price I had received for my invoice does not exist and it is not the daily rate.

At that point, I was pretty locked in and had no choice by to pay the higher amount. I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer serviceI I received at the front desk and how this dispute was handled. They provided me a price and a booking invoice to back it up, that price should have been honoured. I will not be staying at the Red Umbrella Inn again and I would advise others not to stay as they do not honour their provided room rates.

On a side note, very nice location. The lake is quite beautiful.

I heard their pizza was delicious from a few friends. I just moved back from Alberta and love pizza so had to try it out. I called tonight, and let me tell you… WOW! It was amazing! Super friendly staff, and they even called me afterwards to see how I liked it cause they knew it was my first time trying it. That was the icing on the cake for me. If you haven’t eaten their pizza, you should! That will be my go to from now on. Thank you for the delicious food and superior service!!
