I hired Running Cables to wire up the office and home theatre in my new house with Ethernet ports. I work from home in the computer games industry, so I often pull down hundreds of Gigabytes of builds a day. Having fast and reliable network infrastructure in my home is important to me.

I was extremely impressed by Running Cables' service. They called me back quickly and we were able to go through different options for cabling up my home. When it came time to installation, they were fast, professional and friendly and I was very impressed by the results.

I will definitely make use of their service in future if I want to cable up more rooms.

Call this one a "six months later review" or just a "fashionably late to get this one up" review.

I connected with Jonathan a few days before our installation on Dec 23rd, 2021. I covered what we were hoping to achieve with his team. It was a growing concern for us with the number of wires we had lying around in our family room that was fully exposed. We also had severe issues with the opposite side of the house not receiving Wi-Fi signals. Finally, Wi-Fi kept tripping while playing online games from the basement, and could we hardwire a point to gain access to a stronger signal.

After listening attentively to all of our concerns, Jonathan, step by step, took me through the various solutions/options that we could consider. Ultimately, he could not guarantee the strength of the Wi-Fi due to multiple factors outside of the cable plans. This included the network hardware I was using, the provider we had, what internet plan we were on, etc.

He took the time to relay the information to his team, and they were able to provide a detailed quote which to me felt very fair for the work that needed to be completed. Overall, it would take a half-day. By the way, Jonathan is highly accessible – every time I called or texted with a question, he responded promptly. We even had a video chat so I could walk him through the house so he could assess what his team would be dealing with.

We agreed on a course of action, and fortunately for me, he had a cancellation that week itself. His team was able to come in sooner than expected. His team carefully cleaned up all the protruding wirework, sealed up the holes where the cables were coming from and cleaned up the living room of any further nuisance from the wires. They then went to work fishing cables through the basement to the centralized location that we thought would be the best fit for our family.

The team did an excellent job of helping us get a super clean look with the finished product. Everything is now hidden behind the bookshelf. The hardwired cable is now available for the gaming console. The best news of all, even 6 months later, the Wi-Fi works throughout the house, and there are no more empty pockets of space.

Jonathan and the Running Cables crew – thank you, folks, so much for all your support and dedication. Also, I highly appreciate the follow-up from Randy to check in on how things ended up post-installation. These folks know how to take care of their clients. With no hesitation whatsoever, would I ever not recommend this team for your residential services!

Running Cables was a pleasure to work with: they responded within a business day to my quote request on their website, and their staff likewise followed-up very quickly with emails during the back-and-forth project planning.

They quoted me a fair price, and scheduled the job quickly (within 2 weeks), and their installers arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. They were pleasant and helpful, and approached the work with a great deal of care and professionalism. For example, they needed to access the attic as part of the installation and before venturing up through my wife’s walk-in closet, they laid plastic tarps over all the hanging clothes so they wouldn’t get dusty. Attention to detail like that matters a lot, and I’ll definitely work with Running Cables again as a result.
