Professional, honest and diligent law office. My mother's visa application was stuck for over 2 years which compelled me to seek lawyer's help. Mr. Eastman and his team are thorough professionals and beyond that, I found them to be very honest and upfront. The lawyer fees were reasonable and not once did I sense any exploitation. They even did an initial consultation for free which is not the case with most immigration law practices around GTA. All the communication was done upfront with extreme clarity and diligence. I had a free consultation with Mr Eastman to discuss my plans and options regarding Common-Law sponsorship through my IEC visa last year.

From the minute the call started I got an immediate impression Mr Eastman was not interested in providing me any service or guidance. His tone and demeanor was uncaring and his responses were very short.

Despite explaining my situation and plans in detail, Mr Eastman dismissed the plans and advised I would not be able to apply for Common-Law sponsorship successfully as I would run out of time with my IEC 2 year work permit with the sponsorship taking potentially 12 months.

After leaving the call quite upset and scared for my chances to move to the country, I did some additional research and was advised I could apply for an open work permit during my application, which I was able to do. Mr Eastman failed to advise me of this option on the call though and proceeded to ignore a follow up e-mail asking for further clarification once I discovered this.

It's clear Mr Eastman didn't see me as a viable client and wanted to cut me loose from the very start. Hardly seems to reflect values like trust and commitment when he was so uninterested in helping me. He also doesn't seem to fully know his stuff, which is alarming.

It is really difficult to find a good lawyer who not only knows immigration laws but also gives you a honest opinion based on facts. I had a complicated spousal sponsorship case and options to have my husband in Canada appeared limited.
Mr. Eastman and his team gave me hope at a time when things seemed impossible. He was very honest about my case and advised me the possible outcomes of the case due to its complexity. My husband had an interview which did not go well and unfortunately, his application for permanent residency was refused. It was an emotionally stressful time for me and my husband as we were miles apart. I had to attend an oral hearing to challenge the Visa Officer’s decision. It was difficult but Mr. Eastman’s professionalism and excellent litigation helped me to win the case. Mr. Eastman guided us at every step of the case.
