Husband and I used them to plan our honeymoon. We did their luxury Kenya package. Since I planned our wedding, I was keen to not have to plan the honeymoon. From outbound flight to return, everything was taken care of. Every reservation, pick up, greeter was in place and on time. We added an extension in Zanzibari which was wonderful for a post Safari relaxation. We honestly had the trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend this trip and itinerary to anyone seeking to do safari.

A safari has been a long time dream of mine, and I booking the Kenya Masai Mara trip through Lion World Travel. A friend and co-worker did the exact same trip a few weeks prior to my own trip and her experiences match mine.

Our family booked the Classic Tanzania experience through Lion World Travel and I don’t think I can explain how perfect this trip was. From the start our agent, Jean Kadenhe, answered all our questions and providing clear guidance.

When we arrived in Tanzania the exceptional trip started with the friendliest guides, Albert and Joshua. Our trip from the airport to the first hotel was with Joshua who was polite and extremely welcoming to our tired family. Albert Mutalemwa was our guide the rest of the trip. If you take anything from this review, please let it be to request for Albert. I’m telling you- he made our trip SO perfect! He was so knowledgeable, so sweet, and an amazing driver making sure we saw all big 5 animals and even the great migration!

All hotels were beautiful and the food was very good. Same day laundry services provided at all places and the vehicle was cleaned every night.

We will be back to Tanzania- thank you Lion World Travel, Albert Mutalemwa, Joshua, and Jean Kadenhe for making this a trip of a lifetime!

The whole experience with Lion's World Travel has been amazing. They are super accommodating and took care of everything. They responded quickly to all questions and concerns and were very informative. We did the luxury tented safari in South Africa and added on the trip to see Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Every place that we stayed had excellent staff, excellent food, beautiful locations and wonderful amenities. Our game driver was extremely experienced and made sure we were able to see all the animals that we could. All pick ups and drop offs were on time and helpful. I can't say enough about how wonderful our trip was because of Lions World Travel!

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Safari Experience with an Outstanding Guide!

Our family just returned from an unforgettable 8-day safari in Kenya, and we cannot say enough good things about our experience with Lion World and our exceptional guide, Nicholas Kahura. From the moment we landed in Nairobi to our departure, every detail was meticulously handled, making this the best vacation our family has ever taken.
Nicholas, or Nicco as we fondly called him, was with us throughout our entire journey, and his expertise in wildlife and birds truly made the trip special. He knew exactly where to take us for the best viewing opportunities, and thanks to his incredible sense of timing, we were fortunate enough to see all of the Big Five animals up close. A highlight of our trip was witnessing the wildebeest migration in the Maasai Mara. Nicco’s patience paid off as we watched the herd cross the Mara River—a moment we will cherish forever.

Our accommodations throughout the trip were outstanding. We began our journey with a stay at the Nairobi Serena Hotel, where we were warmly welcomed and could relax after our long flight. Next, we moved to the Sweetwaters Serena Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where the combination of luxury and wilderness made for an incredible experience. We then stayed at the Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp, with breathtaking views and a fantastic cooking class. Finally, our adventure culminated at the Mara Serena Safari Lodge in the Maasai Mara, where we enjoyed unparalleled wildlife viewing and even had a Hippo Pool breakfast on the banks of the Mara River.

Beyond his knowledge, Nicco became a part of our family. My husband, Drew, and I, along with our three children (Julia, 26; Caroline, 25; Drew, 21), bonded with him over the course of our adventure. We shared stories about our lives back in the U.S. and learned so much about Kenyan culture from him. By the end of the trip, we felt like we had gained a lifelong friend.

The accommodations arranged by Lion World were top-notch, and our safari vehicle provided by Twiga Tours was luxurious—comfortable seating, large windows, and a pop-up roof made for perfect wildlife viewing. The entire experience was made seamless by our accommodating and informative guide Nicco, who was an expert at handling the rough terrain, which made for pleasant and comfortable scenic drives.

On our last evening, we invited Nicco to join us for dinner, which was a wonderful way to cap off the trip. We even exchanged Facebook information, and we’re already looking forward to planning another safari with him in the future.

If you're considering a safari in Kenya, we highly recommend booking with Lion World through Costco and requesting Nicholas Kahura as your guide. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all our expectations.

My husband Doug and I just returned from Lionworld Travel’s “Pride of South Africa” 12 day tour and it was a fantastic experience from start to finished. Our agent, Carlene was so helpful from start to finish and the detailed itinerary and other documents left no questions unanswered. We had been searching for just the right South African “tour” for a few years. Something that would include Cape Town and Safari, guided, very small group (there were only 6 of us including my husband and I), but with plenty of free time to explore on our own. This tour was exactly what we were looking for with the added bonus of a stay at a beachside resort in Durban at then end of the trip that was the perfect way to conclude our journey. The accommodations were 5 ⭐️all the way. From the incredible views from the 12 Apostles Hotel in Cape Town, to the small, intimate Amakhosi Safari Lodge private reserve in Pongola with it’s incredible staff and first class cuisine, to The Oyster Box Hotel (which is one of the prettiest, most delightful resort hotels I have ever stayed in) this was one of the best holidays we have ever spent (and we are seasoned travelers). I would absolutely book another African adventure with Lionworld Travel and will do so when we next venture back to the African continent. And I must say that although a 2 week holiday from the USA to South Africa isn’t cheap, I found the the rate for this holiday was very reasonable considering all it included and some of the top rated, award winning, accommodations to be had in South Africa.
