Cozy, family run place. Rooms are always exceptionally clean. A fair few hunters were staying while I was there, so the local hunting must be good! The service is exceptional and very friendly, the staff makes you feel at home. They've done a lot of work fixing up the room interiors and making it very comfortable. If you're into exploring the surrounding area, one of the managers (Hank) is very knowledgeable and willing to give you some great tips. It's not much to look at from the outside though, so don't be deceived. I'll be staying there again next time I'm in Wilkie.

There were cobwebs in the doorway and on the ceiling and stains on the floor. I decided the first night not to pull back the sheets but on night 2 I did to find stained bed sheets. The bathroom fan was loud and sounded like it would break any second.||I know the owners say they are 'working on making it better' but until then, I would strongly suggest staying in Unity or the Battlefords. For $100 A night, I should have clean sheets and a working fan.

When we first drove up, we thought the place was deserted. Cobwebs and weeds at the front office door, hanging baskets with dead flowers, paint peeling. Our room looked like something out of the 1960's - tired furnishings and carpeting, paint scraped off the walls. Best feature in the room was the shower head. Floor mat at the door was a tripping hazard. We kicked it to the side and there it stayed. Carpets badly in need of shampooing, but then they might fall apart. Buckets outside each door for cigarette butts are falling apart. Sidewalks in desperate need of sweeping. Doesn't seem to be any pride of ownership, so why should guests treat the place any better than the owners do?

The rates are far too high. The room was covered in cobwebs, smelled musty and had garbage under the beds. The wifi nevered worked the entire weekend.
We were a large group booking. A quick run through each room before our arrival would've been beneficial to the management. However, it was evident the care was not taken.
We chose to stay here out of comfort and ease of the location. If there is a next time, we will gladly travel down the road to Unity.

We were warned not to stay, the place was absolutely disgusting we were told. No hot water. Even the natural gas was shut off and pad locked by sask energy. Never paid the bill?

So the entire wedding guests went to Unity 23km away. Most stayed at Prairie Moon, while we stayed at Armana since pets were allowed for a small fee of $10. My suggestion is get your act together or have no buisness. Period .

The owner is quick to respond online, but fails to follow through on promises. ||Our room was filthy, extension cords were connected all along each wall, cobwebs everywhere, broken room door, and junk under the beds. ||The front desk was deserted the entire time. ||If customer service and cleanliness is something you hope for in a motel, move on. This one definitely under delivers.

If your expectations are low, even you will be disappointed, this place sucks. We booked here because we were attending a wedding in the area, big mistake. Bed was a double, extension cords ran rampant all over the room, there was a stain near the entrance that looked like acid caused it as the weak excuse for a carpet had been burned away in that spot. The TV had to be from the 1990's, the walls were paper thin as I could hear my brother's conversation on the other side of the wall with ease (and this was during the day, I didn't want to know what I'd be able to hear through the wall at night). The rooms are ugly. Most disturbing though is your room key, which is a literal key, can open all the other rooms. We discovered this because my room partner accidentally approached one of the other rooms and successfully opened it, and then an experiment was in the midst and discovered all rooms require the same exact key.

Not prepossessing from the outside, but this motel is clean and functional. Good deal for the price. Great shower. Has the usual amenities, if you just need a place to stay. Wilkie is quite small, but good museum.
