Affordable motel in Kamloops. Close to plenty of restaurants and BC Wildlife Park. Room was ok. The lady at the front desk was friendly.

The motel is located right on the Trans Canada Highway which is very convenient for me to get back and continue my ride. There are a lot of restaurants in the area within walking distance. The room is clean with comfy bed. It’s good to crash for one night. I was surprised that it’s so quiet eventhough it’s right next to the Highway. There is laundry service. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only problem is that WiFi is super weak when I’m in my room. It’s very good value.

Sparkling clean rooms and very friendly staff are the high points of this small motel. It's easy to find, being right next to the Trans-Canada hwy nearer the east end of Kamloops. Fast-food joints, restaurants and gas stations are close by, and there's even a quirky, but servicible laundry that saved us in a pinch. The motel is older and somewhat worn, but remember you get what you pay for and at $80 total for the night for 2 queen beds, 2 people, my dog and taxes, you can't complain that the blankets and chairs had seen better days. The beds were comfortable enough. There's a microwave and mini-fridge in the room, a little table with chairs and a fair-sized TV (that we didn't watch, so no comment on that or available channels). The wifi worked better than at a lot of places I've stayed at, so I was happy.|There's a steam room and hot tub, which the staff at the front desk can unlock for you. We didn't use them either, so can't share more than that.|Bathrooms have been recently renovated which was nice, but with no grab bars it was a bit stressful getting my disabled daughter in and out of the shower/tub combo.|There's a wee playground out front for the younger set. |If you are looking for a cheap, clean, pet-friendly place to spend the night, then the Lamplighter is worth a try. 🙂

Great stay. Clean rooms, stayed in the King room with a comfortable king size beds. Quiet except for the trains that go by, but that just adds to the country feeling. Reasonable rates, easy to talk to staff, very accommodating. Definitely recommend to anyone, we will be staying there again.

We stopped here last minute, and quite late at night, on our way from Alberta to Vancouver (early August). We easily got a room that was a decent price even though it was last minute. It is in a very busy area on the main road, good for pulling off on a big trip or maybe for truckers or other workers passing through (was still quite quiet, my boyfriend is a terrible sleeper and he had a great sleep here). The room was clean, glasses, coffee maker, towels etc were all clean. Bedding was old and somewhat stained, and the shower didn't drain very well but other than that totally fine.

It was a nice, quiet location with an impressive view of the mountains on the other side of the Highway.

Room was clean, had AC, and it had a coffee machine! Can't go wrong with some coffee in the room! Oh, and they had one of the more faster Wi-Fis I've ever experienced at a motel. Staff was friendly too.

The motel is located about a 5 minute drive from town should you need to go in for some pizza or something.

Really, I got more than than what I paid for. Can't go wrong with this motel!

You get what you pay for spend the little extra and go for a brand name hotel/motel. Bathroom is beyond small step into tub to close the door. Beds are uncomfortable and the AC unit did not work. Windows don’t open so can’t even let in a cool breeze. The only good thing is the office staff was a nice guy. So disappointed because we had stayed here in the past and had a good stay then.

Can't complain.The beds are comfortable 😌 the rooms are clean, it's quiet, The water is hot and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Had one minor issue with the room when I checked in but the lady at the front was more then happy to help correct it. AC works great, almost too good, don't leave it on high all night you'll freeze lol. The manager was amazing 👏 she was so patient and understanding with my last minute decisions as I'm dealing with mechanics and uncertainty of when I'm leaving. I 100% would recommend thia place and i won't stay anywhere else when I need a place in Kamloops. Also within walking distance of several fast food restaurants, save on foods and my personal favorite TIM HORTONS
