Had a great morning at Fort Rose Maple today. Great food and an interesting tour of the sugar bush, with displays of past and present methods of producing maple syrup.

Food was delicious. Staff nice and friendly and you can take a ride to the sugar shack in the bush on a wagon or in your own vehicle and also view the tanks set up beside the store.

Fort Rose is definitely a well-kept secret! We visited with family friends who visited from the GTA and a beautiful brunch experience was had by all. The kids also enjoyed a trip to the Sugar Bush, where we learnt about how maple syrup is tapped from the maple tree and processed. The pancakes were excellent and the place was packed full when we arrived, though we were able to get enough seats for all six of us! Fort Rose deserves a lot photos and testimonials.

On the way back to the US from Toronto, we drove pretty far out of our way to visit here to buy some maple syrup. Right as we were pulling in, it looked like the owner was pulling out. He saw us pulling in and turned around and opened the store for us. He explained all the differences and made some recommendations on what to buy/not buy. Got around to trying all of the different types yesterday and love them all. I should have bought more!

Great food, and amazing hosts. You can tour the facility and learn how maple syrup is made now, and how it was made in the past. There is also a barn full of animals you can visit.

Great brunch in a comfortable atmosphere. In our opinion, the food was very good and exactly what one would expect for a buffet and the price point. Wagon ride back to the bush was fun for the kids in our group. It was a wonderful excursion and I would recommend it.

My kids enjoyed the wagon ride and seeing how Maple syrup is made. He also enjoyed seeing the animals.

It wasn’t a nice experience to buy maple products there. First, there’s no precise directions explaining where customers should park, neither where the shop is. So unfortunately, we parked at a wrong place so we were not very well welcomed. When we arrived to she shop, the door was closed. Then the lady who served was very cold, I felt like she was pissed off by our presence as she was very distant and her answers to our questions were really short. I don’t recommend this place
