After reading reviews on Google about no one ever being at the desk and having check in issues we were weary about booking but gave it a shot. When we arrived there was a friendly woman at the desk who made check in very easy, however there was no one at the desk for the rest of the night after that. The hotel looks like it's undergone a bit of a facelift and it was very clear and well lit. The rooms have an old ski resort kind of vibe and they were pretty soundproof. The bed definitely felt a bit old, but we had a good sleep. Breakfast was great and the lady running the breakfast room was really nice and welcoming, made us feel at home. Really enjoyed that it had hot food it was a nice surprise. The location isn't central in Kimberley but it's a great budget hotel option in the area and we would stay again.

Slightly dated rooms with a few cosmetic/practical issues like a leaky faucet and dated bathroom. The plusses are a fantastic breakfast, great staff, a roku in the room, super cute lobby and decor, modern door code entry and super clean! There is no elevator which might be a negative to some. Would stay again.

We have been staying at this fine hotel for days, if not weeks at a time for majority of the winter. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. They ensure our needs our met, and accommodate their exquisite buffet to our match our work breaks. Denise is the kind woman who serves us with the breakfast that can’t be beat. She always makes the food with extra care, and seasons the breakfast potatoes to perfection. The rooms are clean, spacious, and uniquely decorated to make our stay feel like home.

The only thing this place has going for it is location Kimberley is a beautiful town and should be visited!! But RUN FROM THIS PLACE!! rooms are filthy no staff after 6pm no restaurant the owner is a total hag. The "seniors residence" is not a seniors place at all its filled with questionable Tennant's. Bugs in rooms and filthy linens no elevator outdated rooms the photos on website are absolutely a farce the staff we did talk to were very nice and try hard but are limited in what they can provide. Just don't bother save yourself some money and stress it's not a place for peaceful rest.

We stayed in Tara's unit at Western Lodge. I loved that there was a restaurant and free pool. The food at Porch blew us out of the water as it was so well done. I was thinking it would be like pub food and it was not! It was so fresh, tasteful and seriously the best wings. The chef was amazing. Upon arriving, we didn't have the room originally that matched the photo. We were a family of 4 and had opened the door to one bed. We did say we were coming with 4. I went down stars and the host was so helpful in just accommodating the kids with their own beds to the room next to us, it was so lovely and it did match the room I thought I would get. We all enjoyed our stay and the energy. It was close to the hill and not too far from downtown. I loved the mini fridge! Kept our food we traveled with great. My favourite part was breakfast for everyone in the morning. When I was looking for hot water, the host at the front desk helped accommodate me. I would come back again.

Great room, restaurant downstairs was amazing, friendly staff. We stayed at the Western Lodge a few years ago so it was fun to come back and see all the upgrades. The room was very clean and comfy. We love boutique hotels for their uniqueness and always nice to have a helpful person at the desk with lots of local advise. Checkin was easy, checkout even quicker, we will be back.
