On a été très bien accueillis et la dame parle très bien anglais et français. J'avais eu de la difficulté à me trouver un motel qui accepte mon chat dans cette ville, donc j'étais très heureuse d'avoir trouvé cet endroit. Ce n'est pas luxueux, mais c'est économique.

Juste la nuit du 23 juin 2019 en escale pour me rendre au Manitoba en famille...Très grosse erreur d'avoir choisi ce motel! Ô punaises, ô punaises ! diront les poètes! Jamais je ne recommanderai sauf à un ennemi! Ô punaises !

The Modern Motel in Thunder Bay is fraudulent. They charged us $20,00 for damages to the room...........that we did NOT do. We tried to talk to the owner and he was impossible to deal with. This motel will STEAL your money. I will be taking them to the Small Claims Court of Ontario. The owner will be charged with FRAUD.

Dont stay here unless your ok having your room smell like cigarette smoke, Staff was rude, told us there was nothing they could do, as the smoke may be coming in the window a/c unit , I ended up rolling up a towel to cover the gaps at the bottom of the door/window but it didn’t help much. Its not a non smoking room when the cigarette smoke comes in from the outside. Shower caulking was very gross and dirty, stains on the carpet. Mattress was very soft, and the sheets were clean. But with the headache I got I didnt sleep well here at all- should have slept in the car!

Was tricked by the owner, we booked a room online at the modern motel and when we arrived to check in we were told they over booked but had a second place just down the road. We'll this second place was a dump. Dark and grimey rooms, was a Bible propped under the broken bed frame leg holding up the bed. Walls are paper thin and had neighbors who didn't sleep. Parking is horrible if you are lucky enough to even get a spot. No working recepticals besides one outdated power bar. 4 digit code to get in the room that didn't work. We were definitely tricked into staying here because this second hotel was not modern or what was advertised online!

5 stars because the service was great. Rooms were very clean, but the condition they were in was a bit rough, but I would take a really clean old room rather than a dirty new room.

Very pathetic behaviour from the owner(old man at reception). I wish If I could give 0 stars to this motel. Would never suggest this place. We went there after call then his response was I will not repeat myself. Take it or leave the place.
